Britney Spears has won some unlikely support as her parenting skills are questioned by the media - from US mums. Top magazine Parenting asked readers to vote whether or not they thought the press had gone too far in picking on pregnant Britney's maternal instincts of late and 7,500 voters said yes. Only 25 per cent of those who voted on the publication's website felt the media was right to keep a close eye on Spears and report her slip-ups as a young mum. Recently, Spears came under fire after almost dropping her baby Sean Preston when she took a tumble in her espadrilles. She has also been widely criticised for driving through Malibu, California, with her son on her lap, and child services visited her home when the baby boy fell from his high chair and was taken to hospital. Parenting magazine editor Janet Chan insists pictures of Spears sobbing after being snapped taking a tumble with her child perched precariously in her arm won the singer a lot of sympathy with fellow mums. She says, "I'm not sure this means Britney Spears will be in every mom's hall of fame, but this one caused them to say, 'Hey, now we're picking on her.'"

It's a boy for Gwen Stefani and her rocker husband Gavin Rossdale. Kingston James McGregor Rossdale was born by Caesarean section Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to Stefani spokesman Dave Tomberlin. The baby weighed 7 1/2 pounds. "Both mother and child are doing well," Tomberlin said in a statement. It's the first child for Stefani, 36, and Rossdale, 38, who were married in 2002.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have named their new baby daughter Shiloh Nouvel — which means “New Messiah”. Shiloh is the Hebrew word for Messiah, or “Peaceful One”, while Nouvel is French for new.
The little girl, who will have the surname Jolie-Pitt, was born in Namibia, Southern Africa, on Saturday night.
Pouty-lipped Angelina, 30, and Brad, 42, have been staying at the luxury Burning Shore Beach Lodge for the last six weeks.

It seems she took her boyfriend Vince Vaughn's advice and once again emerged as the bigger person.Call it the Vaughn influence. According to a report from Life & Style Weekly Jennifer phoned the couple and gave them a hearty congratulations. Good for her.

“Jen got the news late on Saturday afternoon,” a source close to the actress tells Life & Style. “And at first she was really surprised because she had heard it was going to be a boy. After some debate with Vince Jen decided to call Brad’s manager and give congratulations from them both.
“I think Jen is really proud of herself for swallowing her pride and getting over her personal feelings to pass on her best wishes to the whole family. But Jen also says she’s as curious as anyone else to see what the baby looks like, and for her, that’s where the real suspense is!”

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are creating a show about health and nutrition for young children, according to media reports in the US. Ashley and her twin sister Mary-Kate - who was underwent rehab for anorexia in 2004 - have met with US TV executives about the new program aimed at four-to-five-year-olds called Sportee Kids.
A source tells American publication Us Weekly: "It will focus on fitness and healthy eating."
The duo have reportedly received a mixed reactions about their new concept.
The source adds: "Some execs are weirded out to do a show about food and nutrition with the Olsens."
A representative for the pair has hit back saying: "There's no truth to people being scared to work with them. They're healthy and fine."
Who are Mary Kate and Ashley to tell anyone how to eat right and stay healthy? Wasn’t Mary Kate in rehab a couple of years ago? And the girls are often shown looking less than healthy, MK especially.
