Second runner up of last American Idol, but first to put out record.
American Idol finalist Katharine McPhee will debut her album on Jan. 30, it’s self-titled. The first single is already out, “Over It”.
“When I started working on my debut album, I was asked what types of music I liked. My favorite music is rhythmic pop and I love to dance, so that was our starting point. I was also asked what I wanted to sing about, what subjects I wanted to touch on. So this album really reflects me, a 22-year-old girl who knows what it’s like to fall in love and to have her heart broken, and also a girl who likes to have fun and enjoy life!” Reported Moldova.

Actress Nicole Kidman escaped a near death experience when an anonymous car hit a light post. Eight other people were injured on the same movie set "The Invasion", in downtown Los Angeles early Thursday.
The Jaguar, which was being towed by a camera truck, spun out of control about 1 a.m. as it took a corner in the 300 block of West 6th Street and its rear left side slammed into a light pole, according to LA Times.
"Nicole Kidman, and seven of her co-stars complained of injures and were taken to the hospital but in a few hours released," LAPD said.
The whole incident was caught on tape by Splash News, if you watch the video you can see Kidman trying to escape zombie-like characters on the outside of the Jaguar before the crash occurred. To bad they couldn't have used the footage for the movie.
LAPD Capt. Andrew Smith said the vehicle lost control on the slick road. "Most of the injuries were minor", Smith said. Kidman barely got a scratch she was one of the lucky ones.
