In a poll of 3000 visitors to Pearlanddean.com last month, film fans were asked to vote for the sexiest male and female superheroes in the movies.
Jessica Alba was the clear favourite in the female category – more than a quarter voted for her portrayal of The Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four (2005). Jessica’s fans will be looking forward to the release of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer across UK cinemas this Friday. The popular Californian pin-up is now an established favourite with UK males, after being voted the world’s sexiest women by lads mag FHM earlier this year.
Jennifer Garner took second place for her role as deadly assassin Elektra with 11% of the vote, closely followed by former Bond girl Halle Berry as Storm in the X-Men film series.
It seems many men haven’t forgotten the charms of Helen Slater in 1984 film Super Girl either. She tied with Alicia Silverstone as Batgirl in fourth place.

The former 'Dawson's Creek' actress is said to be "thrilled" about expecting her second child with husband Tom Cruise.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Katie and Tom are thrilled about having another baby on the way she is glowing with happiness."
Katie - who gave birth to daughter Suri last April - showed off her growing baby bump under a loose-fitting tunic dress while in Spain over the weekend.
The 28-year-old brunette and her 44-year-old husband flew to Madrid to watch close friend David Beckham's final game for Real Madrid.

Holly Madison, one of the gals in Hef's trio of girlfriends, badly wants to give another child to the 81-year-old Playboy founder. In fact, some wonder if they're already expecting.
The 27-year-old stunner fed pregnancy whispers last week when Hef and his blondterage visited Monaco, and Madison shunned alcohol, wore figure-concealing outfits and skipped parties, including a 22nd birthday bash for fellow Hef-ette Kendra Wilkinson.
A Playboy rep assures us, "Holly is not pregnant, although she would like to be in the near future."
The alpha bunny in Hef's hutch has gone so far as to let Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt know she can handle the breast-feeding herself.
"I want to have kids with Hef in the next year or so," she told a journo. "When that happens, I just want it to be me and him."
Hef has four children (two with ex-wife Millie Williams; two with ex-girlfriend Kimberly Conrad ).
But he seems to have his hands full just looking after his girlfriends.

Paris Hilton may be looking forward to her jailhouse release, but her neighbors aren’t.
Anticipating a horde of media when the socialite is expected to be released next week, some Hollywood Hills residents are circulating a letter advising neighbors to call police and local representatives to complain of the noise and traffic that may overtake the sleepy neighborhood, a city councilman’s spokeswoman said.
City Councilman Jack Weiss was coordinating with police and other city departments to “ensure safety and access” on the narrow, winding road leading to Hilton’s home just north of the Sunset Strip, his spokeswoman Lisa Hanson said.
“We’re working to address the disruption issue,” she said.
Hilton began her 45-day jail sentence earlier this month after failing a sobriety test and violating her probation twice by driving on a suspended license.
When Sheriff Lee Baca abruptly released Hilton to home confinement after just three days behind bars, a throng of photographers and reporters huddled outside her home. Helicopters hovered overhead.
Weiss’s office received more than 50 calls from residents, most of them complaining about the helicopter noise, traffic and overcrowding because the street doesn’t have sidewalks and parking space, Hanson said.
Paris Hilton, who was sent back to jail by a judge, is expected to be released Monday, when she will have served about 23 days of a 45-day sentence.

Jessica Biel has joined Justin Timberlake on his European tour again.
Jessica, who recently visited Justin while he was performing in the UK, arrived in Amsterdam on Sunday, where the couple stayed at romantic five-star hotel The Dylan.
Justin and Jessica travelled to Sweden the following day and were seen dining at Stockholm's Lebanese restaurant Beirut Café with 13 members of the singer's entourage.
Restaurant owner Elias Karroum told People magazine: "They seemed like an ordinary couple in love. They were very sweet.
"They also tried to smoke a water pipe with apple-flavoured tobacco. They said they'd tried it before, but we had to show them how to do it properly."
