The Umbrella singer wowed fans in attendance at the Rheinland Pfalz open-air concert in Mainz, Germany (August 18). Wearing a revealing black top, the 19-year-old Barbados native was definitely in character for the night.
Speaking to E on hitting the stage in “barley-there” frocks as she wore in Germany, Rihanna said, “Sometimes I get really shy. But if I’m performing, I just put myself into character and just do it. It’s fun. It’s like acting.”
And according to Rihanna, acting is exactly what she’d like to do next. “We’re actually working on some stuff right now. I love Hilary Swank. I think she’s amazing. And Meryl Streep—she’s one of my favorites.”

Nelly Furtado is the latest artist to be signed up to perform at this year's MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas next month, along with Gym Class Heroes and Common.
The singer has been nominated for Female Artist of the Year alongside Fergie, Amy Winehouse, Rihanna and Beyonce.
She will join the likes of Timbaland, the Foo Fighters and Winehouse who are also due to perform, although Lily Allen has been forced to pull out over US visa problems.
Gym Class Heroes have been nominated for Best New Artist and Best New Group.

The actor - currently reprising his role as CIA-trained assassin Jason Bourne in 'The Bourne Ultimatum' - is enthusiastic about his X-rated plan.
When asked about Bourne the musical, Matt joked: "Bourne the musical. That was my suggestion. I think you have to kind of change the genre. It's either got to be porn or a musical to re-ignite the franchise."
The star also likened the DVD extras from the first two movies - 'The Bourne Supremacy' and 'The Bourne Identity' - to "dog shit".
He said: "One of the DVDs came out and it said explosive extra scenes and it was all these scenes that were not good enough to be in the movie. It's kind of like walking into a house, holding a bunch of dog shit and saying, 'Hey look what I almost stepped in.'"

Keira Knightley has launched an attack on people obsessing at her glamourous looks because magazines 'airbrush the f*ck' out her her real image.
She also hit out at young people who want to be rich and famous.
"It frightens me when kids go 'I want to be famous'," she told the Radio Times.
"Why? Because you can get into a restaurant? You know what? If you book, you can get into a restaurant! 'I want to be rich and famous.' Go and work on the stock market."
Knightley, 22, said of her looks: "Somebody goes, 'Gosh, you're pretty." Thanks. I've got good genes!
"OK, I'm on the cover of a magazine but somebody else does the hair, and the make-up, and airbrushes the f*ck out of me - it's not me, it's something other people have created."

Pink hit out at both troubled singer Britney Spears and U.S. President George W. Bush during her appearance at a British music festival on Sunday.
Pink - real name Alecia Moore - changed the lyrics of her song Don't Let Me Get Me from "...tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears / She's so pretty..." to "...tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears / She's so crazy...".
Later in her performance at the V Festival in Staffordshire, England, Pink played her track Dear Mr. President in front of images of Bush, explosions, soldiers and crying children. Introducing the song, Pink told the crowd, "I want to get political for a second. Maybe after one year of playing this song, the world might be a better place."

The 11 were taken to hospital as filming stopped on the movie, provisionally titled Valkyrie, which stars Cruise as Germany's most famous anti-Hitler plotter, Col. Claus Graf Schenk von Stauffenberg.
All but one of the 11 were treated and released. The extent of the 11th man's injuries from Sunday's accident was not clear. Another person who fell out of the truck was unhurt.
Germany's Bild daily reported that Cruise himself was not involved in the weekend filming.
Police said in a statement that a bolt on a side panel of the truck apparently came loose as the vehicle turned.
The accident happened during filming of scenes around the Finance Ministry in Berlin, which was once the Nazis' aviation ministry.
Cruise's casting has attracted controversy in Germany because the actor is one of the best-known adherents of Scientology, which the German government considers a commercial enterprise that takes advantage of vulnerable people.
Some critics maintain that one of its members should not be playing what some consider one of the Nazi era's few heroes.

The frustrated and limping star of the "Scream" flicks went off on a photog after walking up the stairs of Taverna Tony's, where he set down his baby's carrier, turned around and pushed the pap while screaming, "You f**king disgust me, it's a f**king child and I have one f**king foot!" It didn't end there though -- Schreiber then chased the rest of the photogs on scene, screaming at them and making them retreat to their cars.
When Schreiber and baby mama Naomi Watts emerged from the restaurant, they were taunted by paps, with one yelling at the actor, "You better sit down before I knock your ass out!" This time, Liev remained calm and got into the car, but Naomi gave the photog a piece of her mind -- with a finger.
