Ashlee Simpson's boyfriend and father both rushed to her rescue when she got caught up in a mass brawl outside a Las Vegas club over the weekend.
Troubled started when Ashlee, her Fall Out Boy star lover Pete Wentz and Joe Simpson were trying to leave the Decaydance/GQ party at the Mirage Hotel and Casino's Jet nightclub on Sunday (09.09.07).
While security allowed the trio to exit the venue, they refused to let the rest of their entourage follow them to Wentz's waiting SUV.
An irate Wentz started shouting: "What are you doing? This is my f***ing car! I paid for this f***ing car."
The incident quickly escalated and one security guard shoved Wentz, sending him flying into Ashlee, who was thrown against a wall.
Seeing red, Wentz flung himself at the man, throwing punches, while Joe also entered the furore to defend his daughter.
Wentz then spat on the wall of the club, declaring, "F**k this place!" before leaving with his entourage.
Joe later remarked: "When somebody messes with my baby, then it's over!"
He added: "Those security guys are just mad because they make $12 an hour."

Jennifer Lopez stunned the style police at the New York Fashion Week on Tuesday (11Sep07) when she staged a surprise JustSweet show, launching her latest clothing line.
A thrilled Lopez took to the catwalk herself at Eyebeam studios after her models aired her spring 2008 collection.
Wearing a trendy lime green mini-dress from her new fashion line, the actress/singer gushed, "I love creating things and I've loved clothes since I was a little girl."
Lopez called her new line "fantasy - classic inspiration but with a new, kind of funky spin," adding, "Girls who are young are going to wear it... to feel sophisticated, because it does have a chic kind of feeling to it, but people who are older who wear it are going to feel young, flirty and fun. It really has a nice mix."

Rosie O'Donnell's highly anticipated new book, Celebrity Detox, doesn't hit stores until October 9, but "The Insider" has obtained a copy of the controversial tell-all and there are revelations on every page!
Among the hot topics that Rosie delves into is her painful childhood secret. She writes that as a child, she used to break her own limbs with "a baseball bat" or a "wooden hanger."
On page 186, it reads: "My hands and fingers usually. No one knew. My secret." Why? "Proof," she writes, "that I had some value, enough to be fixed." And later, Rosie cryptically adds, "There were many benefits to having a cast. In the middle of the night, it was a weapon."
As for her turbulent stint on "The View," Rosie describes a backstage shouting match where she claims to have repeatedly called Barbara Walters a "liar" for not defending her during her much-publicized showdown with Donald Trump. She also describes Barbara's "tiredness."
Last May, Rosie exited "The View" three weeks earlier than her planned departure, just days after she and conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck got into a heated on-air dispute regarding the war in Iraq that, at times, turned personal.
On Elisabeth, Rosie writes: "Elisabeth, antiabortion, pro Bush, pro war, believes in everything I don't, and I believe in everything she doesn't. She's as slender as I am fat, as restrained as I am vociferous, as polite as I am frank," adding, "Right from the start I could see in this slip of a girl so different from me, I could see something fierce, a fist in the frill, and I liked that. But we had no language in common."
As for Donald Trump, Rosie reportedly lets loose on the mogul, calling him a "torn scarecrow" and "a garden slug."
Regarding Rosie's name calling, Donald fired back, telling "The Insider" that her book is simply "garbage."
But Rosie isn't looking to cash in with her not-so-celebrity friendly tome -- all proceeds will go to charity.

If Daniel Craig has his way that is what the tabloids all over the world will be saying. Craig wants to do a full frontal nude scene in the next chapter of the Bond franchise. He recently said:
"I'm prepared to do a full-frontal scene. I'm not shy and Bond wouldn't be shy about it either."
Craig will be playing 007 again next November. Guys, you better be ready to turn your head away.

Variety tells us the film has been in the works for quite some time (we first reported on it here, and then here). Universal Pictures received the rights to the Paul Abbott series and Pitt was verbally on board right from the get-go (they feared throughout the script's rewrites he would be wooed by another project, but luckily this didn't happen).

Carmen Electra has hit out at paparazzi complaints over the photo restrictions at a recent appearance at New York Fashion Week, insisting her request was "not unusual". Electra, who posed sexily on a metal hoop suspended above the runway for the 2(x)ist fashion show on Tuesday (11Sep07), was criticised by snappers for giving all her photography rights to one picture agency - threatening other unauthorised paparazzi with a $25,000 fine if they took her photo. But Electra insists her contract clause was normal practice in the industry.
Her spokesperson tells the New York Daily News, "Carmen is known for being very gracious to photographers. "It is not unusual to request approval over photos being shot of a performance, and we requested the (lensmen) who Carmen was most comfortable with. The media was invited backstage to interview and shoot Carmen after the performance."
The sole rights for video footage of her performance were signed over to Wire Image while stills were handed to Michael Simon, the brother of Electra's manager, Stephanie Simon. Other snappers were limited to taking pictures of the underwear models who walked in the show.

For a woman famous for her celebrated curves, JENNA JAMESON is still looking painfully thin.
The adult actress was unusually gaunt as she walked the finale of the Heatherette 2008 Fashion Show at Gotham Hall in New York.
The fashion industry may be unforgiving of any excess bulges, but Jenna has certainly never had any worries on that score.
That is, except for those in the right places.
Hopefully Jenna will see the light, and realise that healthy curves never go out of fashion.
