The first new video from the reunited Spice Girls, for "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)," will make its online debut Friday – and here's a photo preview of what's to come.
The clip, which will air on the Today show's Web site at 4 p.m. EST, is the first single from the group and their first release since splitting up in 2001.
"We are celebrating the past!" said Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell in June when the band announced their reunion tour, set to launch Dec. 7 in Los Angeles.
The new song, a collaboration with their original songwriters, is a declaration of friendship that "feels like taking a little bit of the past. You feel that flavor but then it's moving on," Halliwell told Britain's GMTV last month. "The other girls chipped in later, adding lyrics. It's magical."
The upcoming tour, marking the Spice Girls' first performances in nine years, "will be a proper good farewell to our fans," said Melanie "Sporty" Chisholm.
Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham added, "We are going to celebrate the past, do a small tour and that will probably be it. Our priority is our families." All of the Girls except Chisholm have become mothers since their '90s heyday, when they sold 55 million records worldwide.

...she put her life on the line to save the mammals in Japan
Hayden Panettiere doesn’t have much to worry about as an indestructible cheerleader on NBC’s “Heroes.”
But during a recent trip to Japan, the 18-year-old actress put her life on the line trying to prevent fisherman from slaughtering a group of dolphins.
In a dramatic display, Panettiere and five others paddled out on surfboards into the ocean on a pre-dawn mission to disrupt the local fishermen’s efforts to catch and kill the dolphins.
However, as the group made their way towards the pod of dolphins, who appeared to be caught in the net, Panettiere, a spokesperson for SaveTheWhalesAgain.org, and friends were intercepted by one of the small fishing boats.
The fishermen used the boat’s propellers to block the surfers’ way and used a long boathook to try and push them away.
The dramatic and dangerous encounter lasted for several minutes before Hayden and her group were forced to return to shore.
Upon reaching land, a visibly shaken Panettiere fell to her knees crying.
“It was really frightening. Some of us were hit by the boathook. But in the end all we really worried about was the dolphins,” Panettiere said in footage captured on video by the group. “It was so incredibly sad. We were so close to them and they were sky hopping, jumping out of the water to see us.”
As the group huddled together on the beach, an emotional Hayden fought back the tears as she explained what she saw while in the water.

More court documents in the ongoing custody battle between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were released Thursday, which revealed some intimate details about their finances.
Federline earned more than half a million dollars in 2006 - mainly from entertainment and endorsement deals - but minus business expenses, he grossed only $7,436 that year. Spears earns close to $737,000 per month. Federline receives $15,000 a month in child support payments from Spears. He is entitled to child support until Sean and Jayden become adults, since Spears is the higher earner.

Spears:
- $102,000 on entertainment, gifts and vacations
- $49,267 on mortgage payments
- $16,000 on clothes
- $4,758 on eating out
- $2,500 on phone bills
Federline:
- $5,000 on entertainment, gifts, and vacations

CRISS ANGEL AND JIM CALLAHAN FIGHT ON LIVE TV VIDEO
“Criss, I can see you’re itching to say something,” noted “Phenomenon” host and Access Hollywood’s Tim Vincent .
“I just think it’s comical quite frankly,” Angel said.
Angel then pulled an envelope from his pocket and appeared to challenge, not only Callahan’s abilities, but also those of his fellow judge Geller.
“I will give you a million dollars of my personal money right now if either one of you can tell me specific details of what’s in here right now,” Angel insisted.
The challenge clearly didn’t sit well with the contestant.
“Ok man, I’ll tell you what I will tell you. I find you an ideological bigot,” Callahan responded as he made his way towards Angel.
“Tell me what’s in the envelope,” Angel kept repeating.
Angel then got out of his seat to meet Callahan, as Geller and Vincent came between the two men and separated them.
Obviously Angel came to the show prepared to embarrass Callahan. Callahan channels dead people’s spirits, and maybe this kind of magic bothers Angel, because it gives people false hope and false closure since, as Angel proves, it’s all fake. Angel’s magic is just as fake, but perhaps he feels he’s better than Callahan because his magic and deception is somehow more honest. Does it even matter if it’s fake, just as long as it’s entertaining? Maybe Angel felt threatened, or maybe this was all to get more free publicity just like when he hangs around with celebrities like Britney Spears. There’s no question that Angel could not have guessed what was in a surprise envelope either, if he had been challenged the same way. If any of them were real magicians they would have fought each other at a distance with magic wands like on Harry Potter. These guys are all talk and no magic.

Katie Holmes fueled another round of pregnancy rumors at the L.A. premiere of husband Tom Cruise’s new drama Lions for Lambs Thursday.
A glowing Holmes, 28, appeared to be sporting a mini bump as she worked the red carpet in a one-shouldered, silk charmeuse Monique Lhuillier gown.
Though she didn’t address questions about a possible pregnancy, the actress and her husband — who will celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary November 18, were happy to give the crowd a display of their mutual affection, as Cruise, 42, whispered to his wife and softly kissed her ear as they made their way into the theater.
“Tom kissed Katie a few times lightly near her ear and whispered to her,” a witness told Usmagazine.com. “She would turn to him and smile.”
Cruise recently said he and Holmes could handle having another little one around.
