Christina Aguilera flaunts her pregnancy in an upcoming issue of Marie Claire magazine. The 26-year-old singer is shown wearing a cropped jacket, hoop earrings and a ring on the cover of the January issue, on newsstands Dec. 11. Excerpts from the story were released Wednesday.
Christina Aguilera and her husband, Jordan Bratman, were married in 2005.
The singer says she learned she was pregnant while on her recent "Back to Basics" tour.
"We were planning on starting to try after the tour. And so, I had gone off the Pill to prepare my body, because I didn't know how much time it would take. You've heard it takes some time — except with Power Egg and Super Sperm here," she says. ... I'm like, `Oh my god, can you believe it just happened?'"
Aguilera says she became "paranoid" during the tour.
"There are so many things that could go wrong — somebody could slip, somebody could fall, I could fall," says Aguilera, who wore a heart monitor during performances. "There was no way ... I was going to jeopardize my baby for my show."
She confirmed her pregnancy earlier this month in the U.K. edition of Glamour magazine.
Aguilera says she kept the baby news quiet for her fans' sake.
"I didn't want to make the audience uncomfortable, like, `Pregnant lady onstage! Is she going to be OK?' But I had to announce it to my band and my dancers, because I wanted to make sure they had my back," she says.
She adds: "Because I hadn't said anything, people thought I was trying to keep it this big, bad secret, and that's not the case at all. I just wasn't commenting. I'm not being like, `Hey everybody, I'm pregnant!' I'm not that girl."

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or RSPCA says the incident is an "irresponsible publicity stunt" and it would provoke more similar incidents.
"Why is it necessary and what are they trying to prove?" The RSCPA spokesperson questioned Madonna's recent animal-related activity. "It sends out the wrong message about how to use animals. Even if the dye is safe for the animals, others might copy it with an unsafe dye."
The 49-year-old singer and her husband Guy Ritchi clarify the event by saying they were just paying homage to famous fashion and portrait photographer Cecil Beaton who used to live in their Ashcombe estate in Wiltshire during the 1930s-40s.

Paris Hilton says she wants a baby like pregnant pal Nicole Richie so their children can play together.
“Nicole and I have been playing together since we were two years old. I was just telling her, ‘I want a baby so that our babies can play together,” says Hilton.
The hotel heiress says that it won’t happen right now as she has to have a boyfriend first. “I don’t have a boyfriend right now. But I would love to start a family,” said Hilton.

American publications have reported the pop star is four-weeks pregnant with music producer J.R. Rotem’s baby - and the young mogul has reportedly confirmed the news overnight. But now Britney is speaking out about the story, insisting she is not with child.
After spending the night shooting a video for her new song Piece of Me in Hollywood, Spears sent a cellphone text to Los Angeles radio host Ryan Seacrest to rubbish reports early on Wednesday (28Nov07). Heading home “to sleep” after the all-night shoot, Spears wrote,
“It’s B.S, I don’t know who made it up. J.R. doesn’t even know what’s up. It’s fake, completely fake.” Spears then apologised for not phoning into the show, explaining, “(the) paparazzi are trying to kill us, otherwise I’d talk.”
