Speaking to Grazia magazine, Roberto Cavalli said that Beckham's colleagues Geri Halliwell wanted her outfits to show off her body while Emma Bunton wanted to be covered up.
He said: "I met each one on their own so I could get an idea of their personality. I asked them about their bodies, what they wanted to show and hide, and we talked about how they had evolved in the years since they were Spice Girls."
Cavalli said that Mel B wanted "shiny, body-conscious clothes, and animal prints" while Melanie C "wanted to be more rock chick than sporty".

Charlize Theron has become the latest victim of callous thieves who have turned the Hollywood Hills into a hotbed of crime.
The Oscar winner's home was targeted by robbers at the weekend, who broke into her estate, according to TMZ.com.
It is not clear if the actress was at home when the burglary took place.
There are also no details as to what was taken in the raid.

PETA has taken aim at the Olsens for wearing fur, labeling Mary-Kate and Ashley the "Trollsen Twins" in a new ad campaign!
The group, furious at the tiny moguls for using fur in their fashion collections, will unveil their new ad at the Hollywood Walk of Fame today.
The group also labels the girls "Hairy Kate" and "Trashley" and insists in their new tag line, "Fur Is Worn by Beautiful Animals and Ugly People."

Every year, the American Civil Liberties Union gets together and throws a bash to celebrate the anniversary of the Bill of Rights. And this year they had a little help from Halle Berry.
The “X-Men” actress paraded her preggers form around the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel last night for the 2007 ACLU Bill of Rights Dinner. And the 41-year-old mother-to-be looked absolutely fabulous.
Halle Berry wore a black sleeveless dress with a scandalously-low-cut neckline that showed off her expanding assets. And Benicio Del Toro didn’t seem to mind in the least.
The “Usual Suspects” actor was in the house to accept an award. Each year, the ACLU pays tribute to individuals who help preserve civil liberties and civil rights.

In what may be one of showbiz's oddest stork announcements, Halliwell was rumoured to have said "She's pregnant" during their hit Wannabe at a Los Angeles concert on the weekend.

Actress Shirley MacLaine has accused Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan of an addiction to fame.
73-year-old Academy Award-winning MacLaine revealed how her filming of ‘Poor Things’ was delayed because Lohan, 21, checked into rehab.
She said: “She has her problems. I don’t know what’s going on, maybe lack of parenting skills and no boundaries.
“I think the addiction to fame is a disease.
“Some of these girls are addicted to having their picture in magazines.”

Brosnan is alleged to have attacked snapper Robert Rosen in Malibu, Calif. in October, but Los Angeles County prosecutors decided not to press criminal charges against the 54-year-old last month, citing lack of evidence.
However, Rosen is now suing Brosnan for assault and battery.
In legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, Rosen alleges an "out of control" Brosnan "punched, hit, struck, and attacked" him, using force that was "excessive, unlawful, (and) malicious."
He also claims the injuries sustained from the attack will cause him to "lose earnings in the future."
Rosen is seeking undisclosed damages for assault and battery, as well as for negligence.

Nicole Richie, Jennifer Lopez and Christina Aguilera aren't the only Hollywood hotties expecting a little bundle of joy next year - Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba has just announced she's pregnant as well.
essica has been dating Cash Warren on and off since the pair met in 2004 on the set of Fantastic Four, where Cash, 28, worked as the director's assistant.
And news of the pregnancy isn't just rumor, like the news that Britney Spears was pregnant a few weeks ago.
Alba's rep has confirmed that the Sin City actress and her gorgeous beau are expecting their first child.
"I can confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring, early summer," Jessica's rep Brad Cafarelli told PEOPLE magazine.
The couple have been seen being affectionate together in Los Angeles in recent days, shopping for mattresses last Saturday and attending a Lakers game, where they were spotted kissing on Sunday, People said.
Alba has also starred in "Sin City" and the recent flop "Awake."
Before the pregnancy announcement, she said she was in talks to make her Broadway premiere this summer in a revival of playwright David Mamet's "Speed-the-Plow."
