I Am Legend is a story starring Will Smith which has him playing the last survivor and last human on Earth. He survived a terrible plague which spanned the planet, killing billions.
I Am Legend broke box office records raking in $76.5 million which is the biggest December opening of all time. It beat out the debut of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King from 2003 who previously held the record.
The opening weekend was huge as Will Smith set a personal best with the $76.5 million opening.

The pair, who co-starred in 2003's The United States of Leland, was spotted walking along Bleecker Street in New York's Greenwich Village on Tuesday (Dec. 11) night, even pausing to take photos with fans, reports People magazine.
The couple was also seen dining at Piadina, where a witness tells the New York Post that Gosling was "smiling and gazing at her."

Jessica Simpson was in attendance at the Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday with a Tony Romo jersey on, showing support for her new man.
Television cameras quickly spotted Jessica Simpson during the game as she was seen wearing a pink Dallas Cowboys jersey, one which was the jersey of No. 9 himself, Tony Romo. She was in a luxury box and could be seen yelling out "Romo!"
For the last month Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have been pretty much well-known to being a couple.
Jessica's support for Tony Romo did not help his football game any though as he had his worst performance of his career throwing 3 interceptions, hurting his thumb, and ending with a 22.2 quarterback rating on way to a 10-6 loss to an inferior Philadelphia team.

Federline, who did sign a pre-nuptial before marrying Britney, is not amused because Sam has a bad temper and Federline is not comfortable having him around his kids.
"Kevin has seen Sam lose his temper," says a source. "We hear he swears a lot and makes very derogatory statements when he's alone with Brit."
It maybe recalled that Sam had dangerously rammed his car into another vehicle to prevent Britney from being served.
"Kevin has forbidden Britney from having Sam around the boys. In fact, Kevin has threatened to get a restraining order. She'll lose custody if she allows Sam around them, Kevin will make sure of it," the source adds.
The problem is so far the threat of losing her kids has not deterred Britney.
"Britney is completely under Sam's spell. Everyone sees through him, except her. I hear that he stays with her most of the time, and she pays for his food, his bar and restaurant tabs and his clothing. She takes car of everything," the source told Star.

Hugh Grant's mystery new brunette girl has been revealed to be an ex-adult film star.
The 'Notting Hill' actor was seen passionately kissing Shu Qi - the star of a host of X-rated movies, including 'Sex and Zen II' - in London restaurant Roka recently, embarrassing other diners with their racy antics.
The 31-year-old Asian beauty has also appeared on the front cover of a number of adult magazines, including 'Playboy'.
Shu, who resides in Hong Kong, is now pursuing a career in mainstream movies and has been staying with Hugh's film director friend John Duigan - who was seen stroking and caressing her thigh as she smooched with Hugh - while he considers her for potential projects.
Yesterday (16.12.07), John dismissed the restaurant incident as just a bit of fun between friends.
He said: "This whole thing has been blown out of proportion. It was just people having fun in a bar."
Shu and John - who directed Hugh, 47, in the 1994 movie 'Sirens' - were yesterday spotted leaving the director's London apartment separately, but they later met up again at a bookshop.

Actress Helena Bonham Carter and director Tim Burton are celebrating the birth of their second child, a baby girl.
According to People magazine, Bonham Carter's representative Karon Maskill confirmed the news, saying: "They are absolutely delighted they have a daughter. It's a lovely Christmas present for the family."
The baby was reportedly born late on Saturday. No details of her weight or name have yet been released.
The couple already have a four-year-old son called Billy.
