“High School Musical” starlet Vanessa Hudgens is probably better known for those sensationalized nudie snaps than for her sensational singing skills.
And after months of silence, Ness has finally spoken out about the scandal.
“The picture came out while I was on vacation in Australia. Thank God, I wasn’t home — it would have sucked if I was at home,” Vanessa told People magazine. “So I got to be away from L.A. for about a millisecond. But when I came back, it got kind of crazy.”
And while most mothers would have been mad (not to mention mortified) if their little girl was splashed across the world in such a way, it seems as though Mrs. Hudgens was full of support.
“I was just open with her, and she was just so cute,” Hudgens said. “She was like, ‘Well, everyone can be naked if they want to.’”

Jessica Alba has hit out at the paparazzi in a new magazine interview.
The Fantastic Four actress – who is well known for her dislike of being papped – says she is too ‘boring’ to warrant the attention.
After making an illegal right turn in her car and nearly being plowed into by a Mercedes, Jess reportedly told a journalist for Elle:
"[The paparazzi are] Fuckers! They do this [follow] to me every day. And every day there's no story. I'm not doing drugs. I'm not running over people. I'm not going to clubs. I'm not dating anyone famous.
“I'm not doing anything interesting! I don't get it. I'm the most boring chick ever."
Jess also takes a pop at High School Musical star, Zac Efron, in the new issue of American Elle, calling the 20-year-old actor, “a child with a lot of makeup.”

The 23-year-old star - the daughter of former drug addict and alcoholic Ozzy Osbourne - claims she suffered her first case of alcohol poisoning during a night out with 'The Simple Life' star.
Kelly told friends while partying with Paris at Las Vegas nightclub Noir last week: "Paris gave me my first alcohol poisoning!"
According to the New York Daily News newspaper, Paris was then overheard laughing: "I did?! That's hot!"

Actress Halle Berry, 41, was spotted out furniture shopping in Beverly Hills, CA on Monday with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. Their baby is due in March, they are not finding out the sex.
Mariah Carey would "rather be on stage with a pig" than duet with Jennifer Lopez.
The 'Hero' singer slammed rumours she was planning to collaborate with pregnant J.Lo, saying it would "never happen".
When asked about a possible duet, she fumed to US TV show 'Inside Hollywood': "I'd rather be on stage with a pig! A duet with Jennifer Lopez and me just isn't going to happen."
This isn't the first time the diva singers have come to blows.
They first crossed swords in 2001 when Jennifer sampled two songs from the soundtrack to Mariah's movie 'Glitter' in two versions of her own hit track 'I'm Real' for her album 'J.Lo'.
An insider on the set of 'Glitter' said at the time: "Mariah was so paranoid about the music getting out that we had another singer sing the temporary versions before the film was released.
"When Jennifer Lopez's album 'J.Lo' came out, and had the exact same song on it, we knew she had a right to be paranoid. We couldn't believe her audacity."
Shortly after the scandal, Mariah was interviewed for German television and questioned about fellow divas.
When asked about former 'Destiny's Child' singer Beyoncé Knowles, Mariah complimented her beauty and talent.
But when she was questioned about Jennifer, Mariah looked incredibly uncomfortable and said: "I don't know her."
The feud was recently reignited when Mariah was told Jennifer has eight hours of sleep a night.
She cattily laughed: "If I had the luxury of not actually having to sing my songs, I'd do that too."

In the secretive world of movie spy James Bond, the "Bond girl" for the new installment in the movie series had been top secret, but today Bond's backers said Ukrainian Olga Kurylenko is the actress.
Columbia Pictures, the film studio behind the popular movies about the British secret agent, said the 28 year-old Kurylenko has been cast in one of the most coveted roles in the movies - 007's sidekick for the still untitled Bond flick.
The film, which is the 22nd in the series that dates back to 1962's Dr No, is due in theatres in November and stars Daniel Craig as the dashing British spy who regularly saves the world from a destructive evil villain.
In the past, being a "Bond girl" has given actresses massive exposure and launched lucrative careers.
A former model, Kurylenko was most recently seen alongside Timothy Olyphant in last November's Hitman.

Troubled singer Britney Spears tested negative for illegal drugs and alcohol during her recent two-night hospital stay, according to reports.
The 26-year-old was taken to Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday (05Jan08) following a stand-off with police when she refused to hand over her boys to ex-husband Kevin Federline after a scheduled visit to her Beverly Hills mansion.
However, a 'reliable source' tells website People.com that, despite reports, Spears was not under the influence of any substance when she arrived at the hospital.
The source says, "She tested clean. This lady is as clean as clean can be, and has been for some time."
