Eminem is recovering at his home in Michigan after he was hospitalised with a heart scare caused by a bout of pneumonia, according to reports.
The rapper was taken into hospital in Detroit over the Christmas period, but is now said to be doing well.
His publicist Dennis Dennehy told TMZ: "Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctors' care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."
The star has suffered from a number of health problems recently and has reportedly put on weight as a result.

Actress Nicole Kidman has revealed she is pregnant, reportedly withdrawing from a film project to protect her unborn child.
Less than 18 months into her marriage to country singer Keith Urban, the 40-year-old confirmed the long-rumoured pregnancy through her publicist Wendy Day.
"The couple are thrilled," Ms Day said in a statement. "For years I've seen speculation and for years it's never been right, so I didn't think it was right this time … and then she's just rung this morning (yesterday). I personally didn't know, so I'm excited … very excited."
Ms Day told The Age that she did not know how long the star had been pregnant and could not comment on whether gossip was true that Kidman had conceived through IVF.
However, Kidman's mother, a clearly thrilled Janelle Kidman, hinted that the baby might arrive around her daughter's 41st birthday. "I think it's in July," Mrs Kidman told Channel Seven.

It all started innocently enough, according to the magazine, with an intended romantic getaway in Lake Tahoe, Calif. The couple checked in to the Squaw Valley resort just days before Christmas, but sources said Sean didn't request couple-friendly accommodations.
“Sean didn’t spend much time with his wife — he booked her a separate suite — and when Robin got fed up with being alone, she went over to his suite,” an insider revealed. There, she “found him drunk with two Russian girls!”
Allegedly the actor continued to party the night away, while Robin was nowhere to be seen. “When asked where his wife was, he answered, ‘Who cares?’”

Keira on her mission to prove that she’s more than just a pretty face: “I had been doing Pirates of the Caribbean for about two years, and as much as that was extraordinary and amazing, I wanted to do something completely different. I think that’s why I chose to do [these two two films.] I did Silk first and then I had five days off and went straight onto Atonement. I wanted to play these characters. I wanted something totally different from the Pirate experience.”
Keira on nude scenes: “Some actors are absolutely not comfortable with taking their clothes off and nudity, and that’s completely fine, but I am. I’ve always been fine with it. No one is completely comfortable with her body, everyone has insecurities, but it’s not about that. It’s about, for me, my body, my face, my head, my mind — everything; that’s the tool that I have to work with. I’ve never had a problem using it. Anything I felt uncomfortable with I’ve always said no to. You can pop in the DVD, and then it’s really your choice if you want to see it as your workout or something you want to share with your partner.”
And with Valentine’s Day not far off, Carmen suggests using her DVDs to get in shape as well as get inspired for a little loving. “I would start by just doing the DVD. You have the choice of how you want to do it. If you want to do it to stay in shape, you can do that. Or, if you want to take it a step further, get the moves down to the point that you don’t need the DVD anymore. Light candles, dress up in lingerie, and give a little show with what you’ve learned.”

16-year-old actress - whose Nickelodeon TV show ‘Zoey 101’ has been axed since she revealed she was pregnant – has reportedly begun studying for the General Educational Development tests, used to gain a high school equivalency degree.
Jamie, the sister of troubled pop star Britney Spears, was spotted leaving the Tangipahoa Parish School System Adult Education Centre in Hammond, Louisiana, on Friday (04.01.08) carrying a GED book. The building also houses the Title I Parent Centre, which teaches parents how to help their children improve their reading skills.
The child star previously attended the prestigious Parklane Academy in McComb, Mississippi. Jamie studied at the academy off-and-on for years, depending on her filming schedule.
A school staff-member claims Jamie enrolled at the school full-time in November, saying she had finished filming. After Thanksgiving, Jamie said she was needed back in Los Angeles.
The source told People magazine: “If Jamie had tried to stay, she would most probably have been expelled for being pregnant.”
