The 'SexyBack' singer and 22-year-old 'Mean Girls' actress Amanda enjoyed a drink together at New York's Pink Elephant club last week.
A source told the New York Daily News newspaper: "They met up in the club and left together after just 15 minutes. Amanda's no Jessica Biel, but they seem to enjoy each other's company."
Justin, 26, met Amanda in 2006 when they worked together on indie movie 'Alpha Dog' which follows the story of a teenage drug dealer.
The 'Cry Me A River' singer has been dating Jessica Biel, 25, since February last year.
In August, it was reported the couple were planning to move in together, but while Jessica wanted Justin to move into her Los Angeles home so they could be close to the sea, he wanted to relocate to New York.

R&B beauty Rihanna has fuelled speculation she is dating Josh Hartnett- after admitting she "loves hanging out" with the star.
The 19-year-old singer last month (Dec07) denied reports of a romance between the pair, insisting she hardly knows the Black Hawk Down star.
But Rihanna now says she is close pals with Hartnett and emphasises that she likes to get to know any potential suitors before settling down.
She says, "It's good to be friends first. I don't find it too hard to talk to male pals. When I hang out with Josh, it's lovely."

Victoria Beckham has failed to impress the fashion moguls in the States.
Posh Spice planned to make it big in the fashion stakes in America, but on Tuesday she suffered her first Hollywood snub when style guru Mr Blackwell named her the worst-dressed celebrity of 2007.
Former fashion designer Richard Blackwell annually announces his list of fashion disasters among music, movie and television personalities.
In reference to the British pop star's sense of style he said: "In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty 'Posh' can really wreck-em."
Other stars to feature on Blackwell's list were singer, Amy Winehouse who came in at second place and American actress Mary-Kate Olsen who was branded third worst dressed celebrity.
Britney Spears usually makes it into his Ten Worst Dressed Women but was missed off the latest compilation.
"I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment,' he explains, 'her personal life is in such upheaval."

At the premiere of 27 Dresses last night, Jennifer Love Hewitt spoke to The Insider about her now infamous bikini shots that surfaced at the end of last year.
She said, with fiance Ross McCall at her side, "I was on the cover of People magazine in a bad bikini shot. I worked 20 years in this business and that's how I got the cover of People!"
The photos, in which she garnered criticism for not pandering to Hollywood's zero size standard, ruined the vacation she was on when they were taken. "It was not my best day, it was not my best week. I didn't go frolic on the beach and feel really excited that those pictures were out there."
She added, "Somebody decided to say that I was the epitome of what isn't attractive on a beach."

Animal charity People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals has removed Britney Spears from its annual worst-dressed list following the pop superstar's recent hospitalisation and mental evaluation.
The Toxic singer was leading PETA's online worst-dressed celebrity poll, but bosses at the organisation have decided to leave Spears alone in the wake of her ongoing troubles. PETA's Dan Matthews says, "At this point, Britney needs a break - from everybody. Maybe when her head is clear, she'll have a change of heart about wearing fur. If not, we'll be back biting at her heels." Meanwhile, supermodel Kate Moss is leading the PETA poll. Matthews adds, "Nothing completes the transition from supermodel to super tramp like a fur coat."
As previously reported, designer Mr. Blackwell also spared Spears in his 47th annual worst-dressed women list, announced on Tuesday (08Jan08), explaining, "I felt that it was inappropriate at this time to make comment, when her personal life is in such upheaval."

Brad Pitt gets up early every morning with their four kids - adopted children Maddox, six, Pax, four, Zahara, two, and 20-month-old biological daughter Shiloh - and gives them breakfast while Angelina has a lie-in.
An insider told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "Sometimes the kids will go in and wake her, but they're not supposed to. Sometimes she'll get up earlier to take the kids to school, but Brad's usually the one who gets them out the door."
Brad, 44, has been hailed as a "super-dad" doing all the hands on work while Angelina, 32, has been busy filming new movies 'Wanted' and 'The Changeling' on location.
The source added: "Brad gets up really early with the children. He changes diapers and gets Zahara and Shiloh fed and dressed for the day. He takes this responsibility very seriously.
"While Angie was busy filming Brad was superdad. He got into the routine of getting up with all the kids, getting the Corn Flakes for breakfast and getting them prepped for school. When Brad dresses the kids, he lets them pick whatever they want to wear, even if it's weird or mismatched."
Brad has regularly spoken of his happiness at becoming a father and spending time with his children.

Lindsay Lohan is facing more legal trouble as the victim of her July car chase has decided to sue her. Tracie Rice was riding in the vehicle that Lohan was pursuing in another SUV. The car Rice was riding in was driven by Michele Peck, the mother of Lohan’s assistant who had resigned hours earlier.
Lohan chased the women until Peck was able to make it to the Santa Monica police station where officers confronted them with guns drawn. Lohan had a 0.13 blood alcohol level and was arrested for DUI and driving with a suspended license. During a police search, cocaine was found in Lohan’s pockets and she was charged with felony possession and transportation of narcotics.
Rice is seeking damages for nearly $7,000 in medical expenses that include prescriptions, visits to a therapist and chiropractor. She also alleges she lost her $60,000 a year job as a result of the incident.

Tara Reid has denied rumours that she's suffering from an eating disorder, after tabloids published pictures of the one-time actress looking painfully thin.
Tara sparked health fears when recent photos of the aging starlet in a bikini revealled her shockingly thin frame.
However, Tara denies that she has gone too far with her weight loss.
“I’m not too thin,” she insists in the new issue of OK!. “I go up 10 pounds, I go down 10 pounds.”
"I was thin for a movie that I just finished [the upcoming horror film Vipers]. Now they’re going to see me and say I’m too fat because I’ve gained 10 pounds...I can’t win!"
The actress also takes issue with her tabloid portrayal as a hard-drinking party animal.
She bleats: "What have I ever really done? Dance on a table? Who doesn’t drink with their friends and have a good time? I don’t understand why people punish others for being happy.
"If I have a drink in my hand, it doesn’t make me an alcoholic. If I want a glass of wine, I want a glass of wine. I shouldn’t be afraid of it because of what the media might say. Anything you do, you’re screwed. That’s the lesson I’ve learned."

Britney Spears' parents have accused television therapist Dr Phil McGraw of betraying their trust by speaking publicly about his visit with their daughter.
The therapist went to see Spears, at the request of her family, while she was in hospital last week after being admitted for evaluation following a custody dispute at her home.
Lou Taylor, a spokesperson for the Spears family, told NBC's 'Today' that Spears' parents had asked McGraw to visit her as a private favour.
Taylor said: "The family basically extended an invitation of trust as a resource to support them, not to make a public statement."
She also claimed that McGraw's intervention had damaged Spears' relationships with her mother Lynne and her younger sister Jamie Lynn.
Taylor said that the family "were looking for support here, not to add to the trouble that is already upon them".
After his visit to the singer, McGraw issued a statement saying that Spears was "in dire need of medical and psychological intervention".
Speaking on 'Entertainment Tonight', the television therapist said: "Somebody needs to step up and provide a vector to get this young woman into some quality care."
Yesterday, various news reports suggested that Spears' new boyfriend, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib, was trying to sell semi-nude pictures of her to tabloid publications.
