Heath Ledger's family and friends bid farewell to the actor in an intimate ceremony yesterday (27.01.08).
The 'Brokeback Mountain' star's body was flown to the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park and Mortuary in Los Angeles on Saturday (26.01.08) where his family, ex-fiancée Michelle Williams and actress Naomi Watts visited to pay their respects.
Ledger's body arrived at the mortuary on Saturday night, where security personnel guarded the gates and police officers swept the grounds after closing hours.
Three black SUV's then arrived, believed to be carrying the late star's father, other relatives, Williams and her and Ledger's two-year-old daughter Matilda.
They left half an hour later. Watts, who dated the 28-year-old star for two years until April 2004, was also seen entering the chapel.
Ledger's body will now be shipped to Australia where he will be laid to rest in his hometown of Perth.

Gwen Stefani has announced that she is expecting her second baby with husband Gavin Rossdale.
The singer recently denied rumours that she was pregnant, but confirmed the news after a visit to the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in California.
She gave birth to son Kingston James McGregor Rossdale by Cesarean section last May.
She later revealed that she was desperate to have another baby, saying: "I can't wait to get pregnant again. It's so fun and consuming and romantic."

It looks like Lindsay Lohan is back on the booze.
The ‘Mean Girls’ actress - who was admitted to rehab last year - was spotted downing vodka at New York hotspot The Box on Friday night as she partied with shipping heir Stavros Niarchos, DJ Samantha Ronson and ‘The Hills’ star Brody Jenner.
A fellow clubber told the New York Post newspaper: “Lindsay took a swig of vodka from a bottle of Grey Goose. She was trying to keep a low profile and covering her face.”
The 21-year-old actress was said to be all over 24-year-old reality TV star Brody at the club, but then moved on to the 1 Oak club with Paris Hilton’s ex Stavros.
A witness there said: “Lindsay wasn’t drinking.”
Lindsay’s representative refused to comment. Her last relapse was on New Year’s Eve when she was seen gulping champagne from the bottle at a party.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that the 21-year-old actress has fallen out with pal Courtney Semel.
Courtenay and Lohan went everywhere together - and even slept in an adjoining room when she stayed in hotels, to help encourage Lindsay to avoid alcohol.
But Courtenay, Yahoo! chairman Terry Semel’s daughter, is said to have cut all ties with Lindsay as she became jealous of the time she spent with her other friends.
A source said: “I think it was a jealously issue. Every time Lindsay had a girlfriend around the house, Courtenay started acting all weird. She’d go up to her bedroom and start texting Lindsay - even though they were in the same house! It was like Courtenay wanted Lindsay all to herself.”
Lindsay is now reportedly planning to employ a female model named Alex as her ’sober buddy’.
The source added to America’s Star magazine: “Alex has a boyfriend who really likes to drink. This could lead to trouble.”

The former Playboy Playmate and her hockey star boyfriend - 13 years her junior - were spotted soaking up the sun on Miami Beach over the weekend.
A fellow holidaymaker said: "They were smooching and looked very much in love."
Rachel and former rocker husband Rod Stewart divorced in 2006 after sixteen years together and two kids.

Kate Beckinsale has revealed that her pet cat caught fire from a candle at her home as she was getting ready for the Screen Actors Guild Awards last weekend.
The actress said that the cat was now fine but explained that she had got a fright when she saw that he had caught fire.
Beckinsale said: "Our cat, Clive, caught fire on a candle. As I was getting ready, there was a 'whoosh', like a fireball, and he went up like a rocket."
She continued: "He's fine. He had no idea what had happened to him."
