Paris Hilton's younger brother appears to be following in his sister's headline-grabbing antics.
The Associated Press says hotel heir Barron Hilton has been arrested in Malibu for drink driving.
The New York Daily News reports the 18-year-old had a female passenger in his Mercedes at the time.
He was reportedly booked at the Lost Hills sheriff's station, where actor Mel Gibson ended up after he was busted for driving under the influence last July.
Celebrity website TMZ.com says Hilton's alcohol level was twice that allowed for over 21-year-olds - and in California the rule for under-21s is that "any blood alcohol level is considered legally drunk".
It has also published a brief statement from the teenager's unhappy dad, Rick.
"I haven't been contacted yet by either my son or the police," it says.
"If what I have heard is true, it is very disturbing and I will have a lot to say - but it will be to my son, not the media."

Ever paid $3,000 for a bra? That's what one fan forked over for one of Shakira's bras. Another admirer shelled out $14,000 for the privilege of meeting the pop sensation and receiving front-row seats at a future show in Toronto.
The two bids were among the highest offered for 40 items that Shakira donated to an Internet auction for her Bare Feet Foundation, which is building a school for impoverished children in northern Colombia.
Another popular item: a shiny lavender skirt with turquoise-and-coral beading that she wore while singing "Hips Don't Lie," which fetched more than $1,000.
The items were from Shakira's 2007 "Oral Fixation" tour.
Still up for grabs until Sunday: an electric Fender guitar and an acoustic Taylor guitar, both bearing the 31-year-old singer's autograph.
The auction has raised $76,000.
"It was a phenomenal success," Eric Gazin, president of Auction Cause, told The Associated Press in a telephone interview Tuesday. "We had bidders from 10 countries."

Kravitz was taken to a Miami hospital Monday morning after suffering from a series of severe respiratory tract infections in tandem with the flu since mid-January. Over the weeks, the illness evolved into bronchitis.
"Due to extreme dehydration and fatigue, doctors were unable to control it with outpatient treatment and advised the singer to check into the hospital. He was taken this morning to the emergency room at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami for immediate treatment," his rep said in a statement.
Kravitz managed to make his scheduled performances last week on the "Late Show with David Letterman" and "Live with Regis and Kelly." However, his current condition has forced him to postpone a promotional trip to Europe.

'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson has been partying with Razorlight star Johnny Borrell.
The 17-year-old actress - who plays schoolgirl Hermione Granger in the hit movie franchise about a teen wizard - was seen laughing and joking with the rocker at a party at London's National Portrait Gallery on Monday night (11.02.08).

Britney Spears' cousin has urged the singer to take a break from the showbiz circuit to safeguard her mental health.
Alli Sims said escaping the media spotlight was a crucial step towards improving the popstar's state of mind.
She told The Mirror: "Britney desperately wanted to come out to party with us last night but we had to tell her 'no'. She needs to rein herself in. She needs to take a break from the limelight - from showbiz - and just concentrate on getting herself better.
"[She] is so anxious and so on-the-edge right now. She is incredibly keen to go out and doesn't understand when we tell her it's not a good idea. She just needs a break for as long as it takes until she's completely better."
Spears' relatives have been keeping a close eye on her following her early release from the UCLA Medical Centre last week.
Sims added: "Every day's a struggle but Britney is getting a bit better day by day. I was with her today and, as a family, we are taking turns to watch over her 24/7."
