“I think I had some mechanism in my head that said, ‘If you don’t pull it together for yourself, no one else will.’ That’s coming from a person who had to try it all … and who still loves to have a good time. I do believe in ‘Work hard, play hard,’ but ‘Work hard’ always comes first, and it did even when I was wild and young.”

Kate Hudson has called for a US law to make it illegal for paparazzi to photograph celebrities' children without prior consent.
The actress has a young son, Ryder, with her ex-husband, 'The Black Crowes' singer Chris Robinson, and finds it infuriating when photographers take pictures of her out in public with her child.
Kate Hudson says:
"It bothers me, it bothers my parents (Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell). Ryder doesn't know what that is. He's four years old.
"It's aggressive, it's bizarre and it makes him self-conscious. And kids should always be kids, they should never be self-conscious of what they're doing.
"That should be illegal."

The video for "Higher," which sees Montag frolicking on a beach and was directed by her "The Hills" co-star and real-life boyfriend Spencer Pratt, has become the subject of much online ridicule.
Montag admits the negative response left her in floods of tears.
According to "Access Hollywood," Montag says, "I just started sobbing uncontrollably. I cried myself to sleep that first night after my video came out.
"I just couldn't understand why people I didn't even know felt the need to be so cruel and hurtful toward me. I am just a 21-year-old from a small town in Colorado trying to follow her dreams."

The ‘Monster’ star has pledged not to give in to the pressure of the tabloid press, accusing the media of trying to influence her decisions.
The Oscar winning actress condemned journalists for giving fans a fake representation of her lifestyle.
"Everyone is just waiting for you to fall on your face. So if I start making decisions based on what others think I should be doing, I am just getting myself into hot water,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying.
"So I just try and do things that I feel - no matter what happens at the end of the day, no matter what you guys say about how and no matter how much money it makes at the box office - I really wanted to do.
"I think we live in a culture where we want to raise people and see them fall. That's what the tabloids are all about. Why do we have tabloids? We want to see (celebrities) do embarrassing things,” she added.

The campaign was shot by Vincent Peters in a Los Angeles studio. The photos are in black-and-white and color, and the inspiration is Alfred Hitchcock. "I have always loved Hitchcock's films, and to be able to transport Christina and my jewelry into that classic setting was an amazing experience," Webster said.
Aguilera said: "Working together on this campaign and collection has been an incredible experience. I am honored to be a part of it all."
Webster said the new line is "just what I needed." He said it takes him back to his early days — 32 years ago — when he was working with semiprecious stones in London and California. "Big colored gems were cheaper then. But today, a tourmaline ring is $10,000! It's all become very serious. Now I can design what I want, and I'm more carefree because the price is something like $300," he said. "My team is young, and they're enjoying themselves. And this new line also runs more closely with fashion."

Lindsay Lohan has posed nude as Marilyn Monroe in a sensational new photo shoot.
The 'Mean Girls' star was "comfortable" shedding her clothes to recreate the famous 'Last Sitting' shots of Marilyn, taken by photographer Bert Stern just six weeks before she died of a drugs overdose.
Lindsay said: "I didn't have to put much thought into it. Working with Bert Stern on a Marilyn Monroe shoot was really an honour. When is that ever going to come up again?
"I wanted to portray the look and get it point-on as much as I could, to bring it back to life. I was comfortable with it, the nudity and everything."
In the shots, Lindsay wears a peroxide blonde wig and winged eyeliner, and is seen posing with a series of see-through chiffon scarves, a diamond necklace and sprawled naked on a bed.
The 21-year-old actress - who confessed she panicked and did 250 stomach crunches the night before the shoot in a bid to get her stomach as flat as possible - revealed she has always been a big fan of the iconic star.
She said: "If you saw my house, I have a lot of Marilyn stuff. I've got this painting of her in my house. It's eerie because it's a picture and it's kind of cartoony, and there's a big bottle of pills next to her, and they've fallen over."
Photographer Bert Stern, who originally photographed Marilyn 46 years ago, added: "It was very similar, déjà vu you might say, like revisiting an old street."
