The pop star, who is worth an estimated $100 million, has been approved for a $1,500-a-week allowance on a debit card, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled Monday.
In addition, Goetz approved the hiring of two specialist attorneys to help the singer and her lawyers sort out her affairs while Spears is under a temporary co-conservatorship.
One, Jorge Hernandez, will get a $25,000 retainer to be an around-the-clock consultant on all questions pertaining to the co-conservatorship. The other, lawyer Tom Hansen, will receive $15,000 a month for his services as an entertainment lawyer consulting on Spears's entertainment deals and contracts.
The ruling comes the same day as a separate hearing in which lawyers for Spears said that her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, should take responsibility for some of his legal bills in the former couple's ongoing custody battle.
The question of who will pay the legal fees "is under submission," according to court spokesman Allan Parachini. "When the judge will rule, I don't know."

Ashlee Simpson writes on her blog about how she was not drunk during a radio interview, she was just tired and nervous.
Ashlee Simpson is known for some key things; her reality show, her nose job, her lip-synching, a little jig she did on Saturday Night Live, oh, and being Jessica Simpson’s sister. One other thing she might be known for is a little YouTube video that has her ordering food at McDonald’s drunk.
However, she does not want being drunk to be something for which she’s known. Recently, Perez Hilton made reports that Simpson went on a morning radio show drunk. Simpson has slammed these rumors. MTV reports that she went straight to her MySpace page to debunk these claims.
Simpson admits that she wasn’t quite in a normal state during the radio interview, but she blames it on a combination of things. Among them is lack of sleep, the host asking too many personal questions, and that she giggles a lot in general, especially when people make her uncomfortable.
Simpson has admitted that she’s been doing a lot of late nightclub promotion for her new album, Bittersweet World, that will drop on April 22. The 23-year-old actress/singer seems to just be doing what anyone would do in her position.

As it turns out, nursing her little boy is the real secret behind newly slimmed-down mommy Christina.
“I think they say that when you're breast feeding, you know, your weight kind of slims down. It's a little easier,” Christina told Access Hollywood. “It's like a workout within itself. It’s very tiring actually and you find yourself snacking more often.”
But before Max came, a four-months pregnant Christina (who kept her news a secret at the time) posed as a Hitchcock heroine for a new ad campaign for the Stephen Webster jewelry line.
Christina appeared as a classic femme fatale in the shoot, donning a little black dress, leopard skin belt, stilettos and fishnet knee-highs.
“Where we took the ads I think, is a really original place. It was fun experimenting with that,” Christina said. “Some of the Alfred Hitchcock movies we drew inspiration from for the ads were… ‘Rear Window,’ [and] ‘Dial M for Murder.’”
Christina and Stephen are long time friends. He has designed many pieces for her including her wedding ring.
In fact, the designer confessed that Christina is the muse behind his latest unconventional collection.
“I probably consistently work with her more than anyone else,” he told Access.

Jessica Simpson took her act on the road Monday – and ended up outside Kuwait City.
"I haven't really got a lot of sleep, I tell ya," Simpson, 27, told the camera for the Today show as a group of U.S. soldiers surrounded her in the background.
"I am in Kuwait, I'm enjoying all the troops – having a blast," she said. When it came to what she was doing over there, Simpson said she was "signing autographs, meeting them, showing all the support I can."
The troops are in Kuwait in anticipation of being deployed to Iraq. Simpson was voted they act they most wanted to see.
Prompted by a question from the morning program's New York studio, Simpson turned to the soldiers around her and asked, "Hey, guys – do you like having me here?"
The guys whooped it up.
Preparing for the three-hour Operation MySpace show for the troops, Simpson said, "I can't wait to get up there and have fun with everybody." She also said that she would have "some of the soldiers carrying me around." On the program are patriotic songs, ranging from "Top Gun" to "God Bless America," she said.
The concert, which is expected to attract a live audience of 5,000, will stream live on MySpace, starting at 11 a.m. PT/2 p.m. ET.
Simpson first announced her concert last month.

Victoria Beckham is getting into men’s trousers after launching plans for a new line of denim jeans.
The former Spice Girl admits she has always been a huge fan of jeans on men and now she wants to have a go at designing them.
And she’s using husband David as her muse: "I think guys should wear jeans big and baggy, with a big pair of boots or flip-flops - exactly how you see David when he’s out in his jeans and T-shirt.

The retired pron star will be seen wearing a pleather bikini for the latest campaign for PETA which will be unvieled at Los Angeles Fashion Week.
Jenna is the face of the group's 'Pleather Yourself' campaign that is aimed at getting people to swap real leather for leather-look materials in the name of prventing animal cruelty.
Jenna follows in the foot steps of Eva Mendes, Alicia Silverstone and Dita Von Teese who have all appeared in ads for the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals campaigns.

The 22-year-old actress - who previously dated Whitestarr frontman Cisco Adler - publicly kissed Taylor at a memorial concert for filmmaker Brandon Schantz at Los Angeles' The Roxy Theatre last week.
An onlooker said: "Mischa was singing along and dancing as Rooney were playing. Literally as soon as they had finished she dashed over to the stage and gave him a big kiss on the lips. She was holding him around the waist and looked really happy."
Earlier in the day, Mischa and Taylor went for lunch together in West Hollywood.
Mischa, who has also dated oil heir Brandon Davies, recently explained she isn't interested in vain men.
The actress - who shot to fame playing Marissa Cooper in hit US TV show 'The O.C.' - said: "I'm really slow leaving in the morning because I'm lazy and easily distracted, and I also spend far too long looking in the mirror.
