After discovering SK-II skin care seven years ago, Blanchett has been a firm fan of the brand and signed up as their global ambassador in October last year. In celebration of her new role, SK-II have created Cate's Essential Kit, containing all of the Oscar winner's favourite products.
The set contains Facial Treatment Essence, Facial Treatment Repair C, and Facial Treatment Masks, a three part routine which aims to aid the skin's renewal process, and lead to a brighter and more radiant complexion.
Of the Facial Treatment Repair C, Blanchett said, 'I definitely see and feel a change in my skin’s texture after using Facial Treatment Repair C. It’s a highly concentrated moisturizing product that replenishes my skin, leaving it smooth and radiant.'
Commenting on her role, Blanchett revealed, 'Throughout my career, I have only accepted roles that I am passionate about, and my partnership with SK-II is no different. I truly believe I already played this role as an ambassador long before SK-II caught up with me.'
Blanchett also stars in the advertising campaign for the range, which can be seen in stores from this month. The stunning shots by photographer Michael Thompson focus on the actress's glowing skin, in a set of black and white portraits.
Cate's Essentials Kit goes on sale in Selfridges today, and will be available form selected department stores from 2 May.

Nicole Kidman has been accused of looking like a bat because she uses so much Botox.
Dr Martin Braun said the actress - who has claimed her look is "completely natural" - was harming the industry by her "enthusiastic" use of the anti-wrinkle treatment.
He told a cosmetic medicine conference in Australia: "Nicole seems to get her Botox done two or three weeks before a big event so when she, for instance, goes up on stage to collect her Academy Award she looks frozen and strange.
"She looks like a bat with too much of a brow lift, the middle of the brow's been dropped. She's crying when she accepts her Oscar but nothing is moving.
"That's really doing nothing to help our job because we've got women coming to us saying that's what we don't want to look like."
Dr Gabrielle Caswell from the Cosmetic Physicians Society of Australasia said industry insiders believe celebrities such as Kylie Minogue and Angelina Jolie also use Botox, with Jolie described as "a definite".
Dr Braun claimed that 99% of Hollywood stars have the treatment, adding: "They just don't like admitting it, that's all."
