Hilary Duff is featured on the cover of Allure magazine’s upcoming May 2008 issue.
Here is an excerpt from Allure’s attempt to dig into the history of Duff’s relationship back to 7-years ago.
On Lindsay Lohan: “Supposedly, I stole Lindsay Lohan’s boyfriend [Aaron Carter.] We were, like, 13! And I’ve never stolen anyone’s boyfriend! I don’t know how you do that! . . . She was talking about it and I wasn’t. It made us both look bad and put up a big weirdness. Really she was just a girl my age. We are fine now, by the way.”
On being with 24-year-old Joel Madden when she was 15: “He was never nervous, like, ‘I could get arrested,’” she says. But does admit, “It looked bad.”
On Avril Lavigne: “I said something about how she didn’t like her fans dressing like her, and how she should appreciate that because it’s a compliment. She called me a goody-goody [Lavigne called Duff a ‘mommy’s girl’ in Newsweek] Everyone is trying to prove who they are, and their position. So, I’m ‘the good girl.’ She’s ‘the bad girl’ or ‘the party girl.’ Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t take her clothes off, but she’s not a ‘good girl.’ [Adult actors] don’t get tagged like we do.”
On Miley Cyrus: “We don’t have each other’s phone numbers. But when she meets me, she’s excited. It’s cute – I see a lot of myself in her.”
On Sarah Jessica Parker: “Sarah Jessica Parker doesn’t take her clothes off, but she’s not a ‘good girl.’ [Adult actors] don’t get tagged like we do.”
On being normal: “I’m not a perfect, prude girl. I like to do normal things that 20 year-olds do.”
Hilary Duff want us to know that she’s growing up regardless of what we think of her.
On pleasing her younger fans: “I don’t want to restrict myself from doing things that stimulate me just to make them happy . . . if they continue liking me, that’s cool, but I don’t want to cater to them. I’m not 13, 14, or 15 anymore."

David Hasselhoff has been hospitalised.
The former 'Baywatch' actor was taken to Los Angeles' University of California Medical Center on Saturday (19.04.08) to have something removed from his eye.
He was due to be released last night (21.04.08).
His publicist Judy Katz said: "He's fine, he had something removed."
Although she refused to elaborate on what the foreign object was, she denied rumours he had checked into rehab.
In 2006, Hasselhoff - who was treated for alcoholism in October - had to have emergency surgery after slicing his hand open in a bizarre shaving accident.
The 55-year-old star severed a tendon in his hand and had to be rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Judy Katz said at the time: "David had just finished working out in the gym at the hotel where he was staying. He was getting ready to shave and bent down but when he stood up David hit his head on a glass shelf and it shattered.
"Some of the glass got into his hand and cut it quite badly."

Jessica Simpson has reportedly been told to ditch her hair and make-up stylists by boyfriend Tony Romo.
The 'With You' singer - who has been dating American football player Tony Romo since last November - is famous for her glamorous appearance, but Tony insists she is sexier in casual clothes.
A source close to the couple told Life and Style Weekly magazine: "Gone are the days of Jessica having her hair and make-up people on call all the time. She always worried about how she looked. Now she knows she can dress the way she wants and choose not to wear make-up and Tony will still love her just as much.
"Tony is more attracted to her when she's casually dressed with her hair hanging around her shoulders, than when she's carefully coiffed and dressed to the nines."
However, the 27-year-old beauty isn't worried about the lack of stylists, as friends say she feels more comfortable when she is dressed down.
The source added: "Jessica hates trying to look sexy all the time. She is a home girl on the inside - but she still loves a great pair of shoes!"

Vanessa Hudgens is desperate to follow in the footsteps of High School Musical co-stars Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale with her upcoming album Identified.
Hudgens, 19, who plays Efron's love-interest in real life and on-screen, hopes the solo project will catapult her career into a more adult direction - although she admits the album isn't a full departure from her Disney roots.
She says, "It's definitely more grown-up. But not to the point where I'm singing, 'I'm so hot! I'm so hot! Boys want me. I'm so hot!'"

And the reality star has been dishing the dirt on her new surgery to Lorraine Kelly on GMTV this morning.
Jodie said she decided to have the op because she was so fed up with push-up bras.
‘You know what, I’ll tell you the honest truth – because I did have quite big boobs, natural big boobs and, as any woman with big boobs knows, they don’t stay pert and firm forever - they don’t.,’ said Jodie.
‘And of course, when gravity takes it toll, you’re left with boobs that really only look good in a push up bra – which is what mine had become. And I’d got to a point where I was like, I want them to look like this all the time, I don’t want to have to keep pushing them up.
The glamour model also said she told the surgeon she ‘didn’t want them to be ridiculous.’

Ashlee Simpson is still remaining mum about her widely reported pregnancy.
The singer — who recently announced her engagement to Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz — managed to dodge talk of her impending motherhood yet again on the Today show Friday morning when Matt Lauer prodded about “expanding the family.”
“Well, you know, that’s been going around for about a year now, so only time will tell with that,”
Ashlee answered. And getting away from talk about her personal life, Ashlee, 23, quipped, “But I am giving birth to my record [Bittersweet World]. That’s my new baby.”
While she continued to remain coy about her pregnancy — which sources close to the Simpson family confirmed earlier this week — Ashlee couldn’t stop gushing about her fiancé and the “great job” he did at picking out her new rock.
“I’m very lucky,” she said.
Asked if they have settled on a wedding date, Ashlee said they don’t have one in mind just yet.
“Right now, we’re just enjoying the engagement.”

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are going to marry in June, it has been claimed.
The couple are reportedly going to tie the knot in an intimate non-religious ceremony at their Santa Barbara retreat in front of close family and friends.
Pregnant Angelina is believed to be considering asking her estranged father, actor Jon Voight, to walk her down the aisle in a bid to make peace with him.
The pair have barely spoken since Voight accused his daughter of having "mental problems" in 2002.
A source said: "Since they started communicating by phone in January, Angelina has thought about asking John to give her away. When she and Brad started discussing getting married, the issue of Angelina reconciling with her dad came up again and again."
Brad, 44, and Angelina, 32, are also going to invite a number of the actor's celebrity friends, including his 'Ocean's Thirteen' co-stars George Clooney and Matt Damon, but want to keep the wedding a secret from them.
The source added: "George and Matt will be going, but other than that it will be a Hollywood-free zone. Brad and Angelina don't want anyone to know it's a wedding until they arrive. Instead they are billing it as a summer barbeque and joint birthday for Angelina and their daughter Shiloh."
It was recently claimed Brad's mother Jane has been putting pressure on him to marry Angelina.
A source said: "Jane has a really hard time with them not being married. She feels that they need to be married for the kids. Brad would love to marry Angelina but doesn't want to force her."

Jessica Alba is planning to take a break from acting after having her baby.
The 'Fantastic Four' actress who is expecting her first child with fiance Cash Warren in June - will be in no rush to get back to work following the birth.
She said: "I'm just going to sit back and figure out what this whole experience of being a mother is all about, and taking that in."
Jessica also revealed when she eventually returns to the movie industry, she would like to work with movie producer Cash.
She added: "I wouldn't mind doing something with Cash. He's incredibly smart and very business-savvy. I think him being part of anything means it's going to be progressive and successful."

According to People, the singer has signed a one-episode deal to make a second appearance on the CBS series.

Jennifer Aniston stunned contestants on a US charity TV show by giving them $30,000 each.
The former 'Friends' star appeared on 'Oprah's Big Give' - which is hosted by Oprah Winfrey and sees contestants competing to raise as much money as possible by getting the rich and famous to donate - and initially decided to award the seven competitors with $10,000 each.
However, after hearing more about what they'd done, she tripled her contribution.
She said: "That just felt too good. I personally would like to triple it. So we're going to go $30,000. Guys, thank you for doing this and inspiring everybody."
Jennifer is the latest in a long line of stars to donate large amounts of money while appearing on Oprah's shows.

Jessica Simpson serenaded her beau Tony Romo at his birthday bash on Saturday night in Dallas – and fed him some cake.
The affectionate pair showed up at Suite, an exclusive nightspot, to celebrate Romo's 28th birthday a few days early.
The get-together included a blue, star-shaped, No. 9 birthday cake – a nod to the Dallas Cowboys star's jersey number – champagne, and lots of dancing at the crowded club.
At one point in the evening, Simpson got on the mic and sang "Happy Birthday" to her beau – then they started feeding each other cake.
"She licked cake from his face as everyone cheered them on. It was quite a spectacle," says one club insider. "But they looked really happy together. Jessica had blue icing all over her hands and mouth and Tony was laughing."

A source tells celebrity gossip website Access Hollywood: "She was seen hanging out with friends, smoking cigarettes, drinking Grey Goose [vodka] and Red Bull, and just supporting her friend, who's the DJ."
But here's the juiciest gossip: she allegedly collapsed in an alcohol-fuelled stupor at the New York nightclub.
People magazine says Lohan drank herself into such a state, she lost her balance and collapsed to the floor.
She was then bundled into a taxi at 4.15am - barely conscious, apparently.
