Nicole Richie is rumoured to be pregnant again.
The 26-year-old star - who already has a five-month-old daughter Harlow with partner Joel Madden - is said to be expecting her second child, after deciding she wanted a companion for her baby.
A source told America's Star magazine: "Nicole is dying to have a sibling for Harlow who is close in age. She doesn't want them to be more than two years apart, so that they can be best friends forever."
Nicole - who shot to fame when she starred alongside best friend Paris Hilton in MTV reality show 'The Simple Life' - first sparked reports she may soon be adding to her family when she was spotted wearing a flowing lilac 'maternity-style' top.
An onlooker said: "The top was not something Nicole usually wears. She ordinarily goes for tight T-shirts and vest tops. The other unusual thing was that she was wearing comfy sheepskin boots and not her usual heels - the boots definitely looked like something a pregnant woman would wear."

Model Jordan and her singer husband Peter Andre have won a public apology and damages over a newspaper story which alleged that they were bad parents.
The couple sued the News of the World over an article trailed on the front page with the headline "Jordan Exposed: Nanny reveals sex, rows, binges ... And what she's really like as a mum".
According to Reuters, their solicitor Mike Brookes said that the piece, published in February, portrayed them as "shocking and uncaring parents who put their own needs above those of their children".
He said the story included an accusation about an incident in which Jordan's (real name Katie Price) disabled eight-year-old son Harvey, from a previous relationship, had scalded himself on New Year's Eve 2006.
Brookes said it had suggested that Andre was to blame and that the couple had been ashamed to be interviewed about the incident by Social Services.
However, he claimed that the article had omitted to mention that Price and Andre were completely exonerated from any blame.
He said that the article also alleged that the couple neglected Harvey's health by feeding him a diet of junk food because this was more convenient.
Brookes said: "Again this accusation was not true. Allegations of this nature are of course highly defamatory and they were particularly offensive to the claimants because they are not true."
News of the World lawyer Joanna Workman said that the paper apologised, accepted the allegations were untrue and regretted that they were published.
They agreed to pay "substantial" damages, half of which would be put in trust for the couple's children and half donated to the NSPCC and The Vision Charity.
Price said afterwards: "Pete and I love our kids and would do anything for them. Anyone who has kids can imagine how it would feel to be accused publicly of being bad parents.
"We came here today to see that justice was done and that our names were cleared. We believe the record has been set straight."

In a letter to Stone, PETA prez Ingrid Newkirk says "We are used to the indifference that you flaunt and the callous remarks that you make..." Newkirk mentions that whole China thing as well as comments about animals.

The Mean Girls star took over Teddy's at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, where Nicole Richie's former fiance DJ-AM played host.
Insiders claim Lohan wore a slip dress for a family dinner before the party and then changed into a Bradley Bayou frock.
At the stroke of midnight, the actress was presented with a birthday cake featuring the face of her heroine Marilyn Monroe.
Then, Lohan's best friend - and reported girlfriend - Samantha Ronson took over the DJ booth from DJ-AM and played records until the party finished at just after 1am.

Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael, is set to sell a story about his alleged lovechild if DNA test results prove he is the father of teenager Ashley Kaufmann.
Michael Lohan underwent testing this week, hoping to prove he is not related to the 13-year-old, and says he is already making plans for legal action against her mother.
But according to a new report, he has already approached OK! and People magazines asking for $20,000 for the rights to his story should the paternity tests reveal he is the teen's father.
A source tells New York gossip column Page Six, "He's approaching everyone to get the highest bid because, if he is the dad, he's going to need the money for back child support."
Bosses at both publications, however, have apparently turned down his offer with a representative for People denying Lohan had approached them, and OK! insisting. "We're not interested."
Ashley's mother, Kristi Kaufmann, claims she and Lohan had an affair during a period in 1995 when he and his now ex-wife Dina were separated.
Kaufmann hit him with the bombshell news while he was in prison in 2005, serving time for a DUI and other charges.
