Julianne Moore says Botox doesn't make you look younger.
The 47-year-old actress has hit out at the widespread use of cosmetic treatment in Hollywood, insisting actresses should accept who they are and age naturally.
She said: "I don't know why women do Botox. It doesn't make them look younger, it just makes them look like they had work done. You are not going to look the same as you did at 25. What are you going to do about it?"
However, Julianne admits she does understand there is a lot of pressure within the movie industry for women to remain looking fresh-faced.
She added: "It's hard for actresses. Our faces get to be blown up 50ft wide, and you see stuff that otherwise you wouldn't. People freak out."
Botox is a cosmetic treatment which is injected - usually into the face - to battle wrinkles. It works by paralysing muscles in specific areas.
Stars who are rumoured to have had Botox treatments include Elizabeth Hurley, Kim Cattrall, Kylie Minogue and Nicole Kidman.

The actress - who plays Liz Sherman in superhero sequel 'Hellboy II: The Golden Army' opposite Ron as the eponymous hero - loved the romantic scenes which saw her locking lips with Ron's plastic and make-up covered face.
She said: "The first time I had to do a scene like that with Ron I did not know if I could touch him, if it would ruin the make-up. I had never worked with a prosthetic love interest before. So I did not know how I would touch him, if it would make a sound, if it would sound like a balloon. I had no idea.
"But after that it felt completely natural and normal and I completely forgot that I was talking to a man in make-up. It felt completely real. I actually really enjoyed it."
Selma also admitted that she founds some scenes more difficult to shoot than her co-stars because she was the only character to "have a face".
She explained: "I didn't realise I was the only human until we were halfway through the movie and I was like, 'Wait a minute - I'm the only face here!'
"And I'm like, 'Where are you guys looking?' And everyone else says, 'Oh, it doesn't matter - no one can see our eyes?' And I said, 'Oh, my God, everyone can see my eyes, it really matters where I'm looking, what I'm doing, I have a face, I have a face ..." There was a moment of terror, like "Oh my God, I'm going to c**p all over this movie - I'm going to be the mess.' "

Alicia Keys has reportedly been tapped to sing the theme song for the upcoming James Bond movie, “Quantum Of Solace.” According to reports, other hopefuls for the coveted gig included Amy Winehouse, Beyonce Knowles, and Leona Lewis.
The E! Network’s Marc Malkin is the reportedly the source of the news saying that an “insider” tipped him off. “I believe Alicia is the winner,” he said.
Although the info is being widely reported, the “powers that be” have yet to confirm the good news. According to reports, Alicia’s reps refuse to issue any comment and the movie’s spokesperson is quoted as saying that they still have “no info” on the theme song for the film.

Rapper Jay-Z must have just discovered that watermelons vaguely resemble breasts. According to U.K. magazine Female First, he demanded that a watermelon be carved into the shape of wife Beyonce Knowles' breasts during his stay in Africa.
The "99 Problems" rapper had the watermelon sculpture delivered to his $5,000 per night hotel room after his performance at the third annual Thisday Africa Rising Music Festival.
"One giant watermelon was split in two and ornately carved into a mold of Beyonce's breasts," a source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "Two cherries were used as nipples."
In other news of excess, Jay-Z also recently took his entire entourage out for a lavish $20,000 meal after he performed at a concert in Paris, France.

The reality show star and youngest daughter of the late attorney Robert Kardashian admitted during a July 3 court hearing that she violated her probation stemming from a 2007 drunken driving arrest, according to court records.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered Kardashian, who's featured on E! Entertainment Television's "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," to surrender to authorities on Friday and serve up to 30 days in jail.
Kardashian will also have to enroll in an alcohol treatment program within three weeks of her release. She will also remain on probation.
"Khloe is ready and willing to serve out her sentence, no matter how long and where, and have this resolved," her publicist, Jeff Raymond, told The Associated Press.
