The magazine, which recently landed a million-dollar deal with new mom Jamie Lynn Spears, doesn’t comment on its pacts with celebrities, though Alba reportedly sold the first shots of Honor to OK! for $1.5 million.

Lauren Conrad, 22, was the marquee name at Tuesday's 9th annual Paws for Style event in New York benefiting the Humane Society and sponsored in part by Animal Fair magazine, which has Conrad on the cover of its summer issue with her rescue dog Chloe in an outfit that Conrad designed.
A press release promised Conrad would be among the "celebrity dog walkers" to strut down the catwalk with "dapper celebridogs" wearing "matching one-of-a-kind specially designed outfits."
But when the schedule called for Conrad to walk with a dog named Toby at the end of the show, emcee Robert Verdi announced to the crowd, "Lauren Conrad ran for The Hills."
Later, Wendy Diamond, founder of Animal Fair magazine, complained to PEOPLE at the event, "This is an event to raise money for homeless animals. It is not an event for Lauren Conrad and her assistant to party in NewYork at the All-Star weekend."

Music producer Simone Sestito - who met 'American Beauty' star Mena last year at the Toronto International Film Festival - proposed to his 29-year-old girlfriend during a romantic holiday in Jamaica.
Despite accepting the proposal, Mena - who was previously married to Robert Brinkman, a 46-year-old cinematographer - is said to be keen to wait before tying the knot again.
A source close to the actress revealed: "They're taking their time planning the wedding. They are in no rush."

Kim Kardashian is coming down hard on little sis Khloe for her legal woes leading to a jail term.
"She made a mistake, she has to pay the consequences, and she's definitely willing to," Kim, 27, said Wednesday on The Wendy Williams Show.
Khloe, 24, was hit with 30 days in Los Angeles County jail after violating probation for a DUI arrest. She didn't complete roadside cleanup duty or enroll in an alcohol education class, as had been required.
"It's a 30-day sentence and you have to do 10 percent, so it's three days," Kim explains.
But don't expect the L.A. social scene to stay quiet without Khloe for long, Kim promises.
"It's a weekend, so she'll miss the club for a weekend," Kim says.

Supermodel Marisa Miller has signed on with sneakers manufacturer Vans to lend her designing skills for a new line.
Ditching her stilettos, the Victoria's Secret angel will be collaborating with Vans to create her own "Vans by Marisa Miller" high tops, slip-ons and sandals. She has revamped the Classic Slip-On LX and Sk8-Hi LX. The sandals will have images of some of her favorite family beach pictures on the sole.
Miller's collection is expected to retail from $30 to $65 and will be available at Vans and Urban Outfitters stores.
Confirming about his involvement in Jay-Z's upcoming LP, Timbaland said "He wants me to do the whole thing this time around." The producer then also added his belief that the rapper's new record will a big hit saying, "The Jay-Z album is gonna be phenomenal. You know why? We don't care. We're doing great music just to do it. We doing it for our fans who love us to say we ain't quit. I'm doing it 'cause that's my homeboy."
Moreover, Timbaland also stated that he will add some special features to make the upcoming record accepted in all kinds of the world. "We wanna go to the world. The world is 'Big Pimpin'.' 'Big Pimpin' ' is an international hit, so we wanna do 10 of those. Meaning, some of the songs gonna sound like M.I.A. would rap on some of the beats. You gonna be like, 'Whoa!' But it's Jay on 'em. That means it reaches everywhere. I'mma have songs with bagpipes. The music is gonna be so worldwide."

Adriana Lima and Marco Jaric attended the 2008 ESPY Awards which were held at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 16). This is the 16th annual ESPY Awards to be held since the awards debuted in 1993.
The ESPY awards give a portion of the proceeds they make to The V Foundation, named after its founder Jim Valvano.
The newly engaged couple were all hugs as they walked the carpet together with Adriana even showing off her big engagement ring.
This year the ceremony was hosted by Justin Timberlake and the show will air on Sunday, July 20, at 9 p.m. ET. Celebrities attending the event included Sophia Bush, Kate Walsh, Zac Efron and Adriana Lima among others.

Jennifer Aniston has been spending $20,000-a-month on beauty treatments since she started dating John Mayer, a new report claims.
According to America's National Enquirer magazine, the former 'Friends' actress is so keen to look good for her man -- she'll do whatever's necessary to avoid going under the knife.
A source told the publication, "Jen is doing whatever it takes to hold back time - short of plastic surgery."
The 39-year-old's regimen, says the Enquirer, includes private instruction with top yoga guru Mandy Ingber, and personal training sessions, both done three times a week -- at a cost of about $3,000.
Jen also pays a private chef $3,500 a month for organic, high-protein, low-fat meals.
"Jen is insecure about her legs, so she goes for anti-cellulite spa sculpting treatments twice a month," revealed the friend.
"They cost $1,000 a session, but Jen swears that the sculpting keeps her skin supple and smooth.
"She calls the treatments 'necessary tune-ups."
