Beyonce Knowles has spoken of her support for U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama - insisting she is proud to see a black nominee in the race for the White House.
Knowles has previously shown her political allegiance to Obama by wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with a picture of the Democrat's face.
She has now confirmed she is definitely backing the Illinois senator in the November elections - praising Obama for inspiring a whole generation of young voters.
She says, "I'm really proud. I think we're making a lot of progress. It's an exciting time for my generation, regardless of whether you're African-American or not.
“The level of excitement, I've never seen anything like it. We all feel part of our country now."

Miley Cyrus and her best pal Mandy Jiroux have something new on their latest YouTube video, an interview with the Disney star's sister, famous father and their dogs. Having them as guests, Miley starts off the show, saying "We are here right now to introduce one of the biggest, upcoming stars in the world. Everybody, let's introduce Miss Noah Cyrus."
She went on to joke about herself, telling Noah "It must be so hard growing up with a sister in the spotlight and everybody always getting on her case. And the sun never shines on the Cyrus family" before then asked her, "What keeps you grounded?" Also interviewing the family's dog, Miley and Mandy even had subtitled translations for their barks.

Even though Lindsay Lohan and DJ gal-pal Samantha Ronson haven't actually confirmed a romantic relationship, they're getting pretty close.
This week, Ronson told clubgoers at Los Angeles hot spot Chateau Marmont that the two plan to tie the knot within the next few months, Britain's Sun newspaper reports.
"By the end of the year, my love will be Mrs. Ronson," she said, according to the Sun.
Responding to the article, Lohan's rep told us, "Please don't believe the British press."
n October's issue of Marie Claire, Lohan opens up about Ronson and their matching tattoos.
"Samantha has a bunch of stars, so I got that," Lohan, referring to a star tattoo on her hand. Then, pointing to a little heart, she says, "she got this."
"I'm really happy," Lohan says, suggesting that Ronson has been a positive force in her life. "She's a great person. And she's a great influence on people around her. But I think that anything that's changed [in] my life is because of me. I've gone through it, and I've learned to deal with it and I've made the decision to move forward."

Hartnett, 30, is seeking damages for defamation after the Daily Mirror reported he had a "sexual dalliance" in a public area of a London hotel, reports the BBC. Hartnett, who's in London gearing up to star in a West End production of Rain Man, is also seeking a public apology.
The Daily Mirror claimed that the actor and his female counterpart were caught on closed-circuit television in the library of a Soho hotel. The tab says hotel workers witnessed the incident.
Hartnett's legal team has said the allegations are "not only untrue but a complete fabrication," the BBC reports, adding that they were "defamatory and unsubstantiated."

The friend continues, "She's trying to clean up her reputation. Julien has definitely changed Tara for the better. It looks like she's finally gotten her act together. They're talking about a wedding next summer."

Columbia said the new album was Beyonce's "most personal, reflective and revelatory collection to-date," and noted that she co-wrote and co-produced all the songs.
Two tracks from the album, "If I Were A Boy" and "Single Ladies," will be sent to radio on October 7.

The Hours star replaces her fellow Australian Russell Crowe at the top of the list.
Kidman's films are estimated to earn only $1 for every dollar the actress is paid, compared with $8 last year (07).
Last year's (07) The Invasion - a remake of 1956 classic Invasion of the Bodysnatchers - lost $2.68 for every dollar earned by Kidman, who was paid a reported $17 million to star alongside Daniel Craig.
In second place is Jennifer Garner, whose recent movies The Kingdom and Catch and Release have both underperformed at the box office.
Kidman's ex-husband Tom Cruise takes the third slot, while the rest of the top ten is rounded out by Cameron Diaz, Jim Carrey, Nicolas Cage, Drew Barrymore, Will Ferrell and Cate Blanchett.
