Vanessa Hudgens is well on her way to the best week ever. Not only did “High School Musical 3″ kick serious ass at the box office (it took in more than $42 million, a record for a big screen musical), she and hottie boyfriend Zac Efron spent the weekend in Hawaii for the wedding of one of Zac’s relatives.
Vanessa Hudgens, who was home-schooled, said in a recent interview that starring in the Disney movie series let her experience the rites of passage she missed.
“I got to experience my prom, I got to wear a cap and gown for the very first time, graduate with people who I really love, the cast. So it’s been a lot of fun,” said Hudgens. She’s also getting the experience of what it’s like to be prom queen and date the quarterback (although Zac looks more like the captain of the wrestling team. He can put me in any kind of hold he likes).

The 36-year-old actor says their relationship span out of control before either of them realised.
"I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love, we were excited and maybe too accessible," he tells Live.
"I don’t think either of us anticipated the degree to which it would take on a world of its own."
The couple started dating in 2002 after meeting on set of Gigli, but they broke up shortly before they were due to wed in September 2004.

The 26-year-old former "7th Heaven" star is said to have recently visited the Sunset Marquis Hotel, where she recorded songs for music producer Marius De Vries.
E! news has quoted a source as saying, "She was recording vocals for the 'Easy Virtue' soundtrack."
"Easy Virtue" will star Biel as Larita, an American divorcee who marries a naive Englishman.
The source continues, "She can hold her own as far as singing goes. She absolutely killed it."

Jury selection began Monday, and several prospective jurors indicated ties to the movie industry. Once selected, jurors will have to decide whether Reeves owes damages to a paparazzo who fell while shooting pictures of the actor driving in 2007.
Reeves was pulling out of a parking space, and Alison Silva says he was knocked down. One prospective juror said he did voice-over work and was once the voice of Bugs Bunny. He did an impromptu impression, causing laughter in the courtroom.

Jennifer and 300 star Gerard were first linked at the Toronto Film Festival last month and according to the New York Post, had dinner together in Los Angeles last week.
A source from the city’s Tower Bar told the newspaper: “They were very affectionate to each other.

The singer's British spokesperson, Chris Goodman, confirmed today that Winehouse had "gone for some checkups," that she had a chest infection last week and that, given her earlier treatment for lung damage, doctors wanted to make sure everything was OK. In June, the 25-year-old singer was hospitalized with a severe lung ailment that her father, Mitch, attributed to smoking cigarettes and crack cocaine. At the time, he told reporters that she was suffering from the early stages of the incurable disease emphysema. Winehouse is expected back home today.

Natalie Portman is all set to act in Love and Other Impossible Pursuits, a film adaptation of an Ayelet Waldman novel that will be directed by Don Roos.
The flick will feature Hollywood actor Scott Cohen and Charlie Tahan alongside Natalie Portman.
The flick is based on a young woman, played by Natalie Portman, who finds the key to recovering her marriage in her relationship with her precocious stepson.
The project is the first ever flick funded by Incentive Filmed Entertainment, the financing entity, which was unveiled by William Morris at the Cannes film fest.
David Molner, managing director of Screen Capital Intl. and chairman of Incentive Filmed Entertainment, revealed that the Anywhere but Here actress retrieved the flick, which was imperiled, when Jennifer Lopez abruptly dropped out.
“We were left in the lurch by one actress and rescued by another, Variety magazine quoted Molner as saying.
It goes to show that, particularly with independent features, nothing is more important than the talent. Its a blessing that Natalie loved the script and now weve got a strong film that we can sell at AFM, he added.

Michael Lohan has apologized for calling his daughter Lindsay's girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, "a drug" last month.
"I definitely regret all the things I said about Samantha," Michael Lohan told New York magazine at a book party last week.
"I'm a Christian," he added. "I should not pass judgment on anyone."
In September, Michael went off on Ronson, calling her "dark, hideous and a disgusting representation of humanity." Lindsay Lohan snapped back, calling her dad a "coward" on her MySpace blog.
Michael says he's now learned not to use the media to reach out to his daughter or to critique her life.
"In the past, I felt that the best way to get to her was to speak out publicly," Michael Lohan said. "And it was the wrong choice."
