Colombian singer Shakira performed together with funk legend Stevie Wonder and R&B singer Usher at the inauguration party of incoming U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington.
Shakira and Usher sang Wonder's 1973 hit Higher Ground as part of a massive concert attended by some of the world's greatest stars in show business.
Shakira had expressed her preference for Obama before the election. The recommendation by Colombia's most famous singer was welcomed by the now-almost-President who said "it's an honor to receive so much support from someone that talented and a person that generous."

The Neighborhood Ball celebration was kicked off by will.i.am and featured a string of top stars from the worlds of pop, rock, country, R+B and hip-hop.
Stevie Wonder led a celebrity-studded jam of Signed, Sealed, Delivered, while Carey dedicated her Hero hit to the new U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle before the couple arrived to share their first dance as America's First Couple.

The suspension took effect Jan. 17 because LaBeouf, 22, "refused a chemical test" after officers pulled him over, according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles . Los Angeles County Sherriff Sgt. S. Wolf said in July that officers responding found it "immediately apparent" that LaBeouf was intoxicated, and he was placed under arrest.
LaBeouf was originally booked for a misdemeanor DUI, but the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office declined to file charges due to insufficient evidence.
At the time, the DA's office said that prosecutors instead planned to file criminal charges against the other driver, who was found to have run a red light.
