Chris Brown's manager has denied any involvement in the singer's recent altercation with girlfriend Rihanna, insisting she was not the one who sparked the bust-up by sending a message to the R&B star.
Brown is charged with assault and making criminal threats after an argument with the Rihanna last month allegedly left her battered and bruised.
According to a police affidavit, the altercation was triggered by a text message Brown received on his cell phone from another woman.
TMZ.com recently pointed to Brown's manager, Tina Davis, who is rumored to have had a romantic relationship with the Brown when he was 16.
But Davis has now released a statement distancing herself from the altercation between Brown and Rihanna. She also denies ever having been Brown's lover.
The statement reads, "The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports.
"If the source of the false rumors is identified, legal action will be taken. Given the nature of the legal issues affecting Mr. Brown, Ms. Davis will not be making any further statements."
Brown has also denied rumors he is set to dismiss Davis as his manager. The star's business attorney, Kenny Meiselas, says, "We are very happy with Chris' team and there are no changes."
Brown is due back in court in April.

Reports say the LDN singer swung a punch at the photographer before being pulled away by a bodyguard.
Pictures show Lily looking furious and kicking the man who had allegedly shunted the back of her car whilst following her.
Although her rage is somewhat understandable this could put her US tour in doubt.
If the pap’ decides to press charges it could make it difficult for Allen to get a Visa.

The animal rights organizations tells us it was offered some of Clooney's perspiration, apparently taken from a gym towel in Washington, D.C. The org's president, Ingrid Newkirk, even sent a letter to the actor, asking for his blessing. "We believe CloFu would be delicious on its own or served over rice with a light soy sauce and sautéed collards, in a casserole with melted vegan cheese and olives, or perhaps pressed with vegan pesto in a Panini," says PETA PR gal Amanda Schinke.
In her letter, Newkirk tells Clooney the idea amuses them, and they hope it will amuse him too. "We could…give the tofu away. Of course, your fans would swoon at the idea of eating CloFu, but what interests us most is that we would attract many people who don't try tofu because they worry that it would be bland or that they wouldn't know how to cook it. CloFu will help people be healthier and more environmentally friendly and will spare animals from being killed for the table." She then explains the science of using human odor profile samples – gas chromatography – and that's it's "no different than making artificial chicken flavor for instant gravy." (Only chicken tastes, uh, good, at least in our humble opinion.)
"They could evaluate your sample and quantify the various odors in order to replicate them and use them to flavor batches of bean curd," Newkirk tells Clooney. "We hope this idea meets with your approval."

Rihanna Leaving Coco de Ville Nightclub in West Hollywood
Rihanna has enjoyed a night out in Los Angeles to belatedly celebrate her 21st birthday.
People.com reports that the Umbrella singer, whose birthday was actually February 20, was seen at West Hollywood club Coco de Ville.
However, there was no sign of Chris Brown, who the singer is rumoured to have reconciled with following a pre-Grammys incident last month, after which Brown was charged with allegedly attacking his RnB star girlfriend.

Shiloh - who put Namibia on the map in 2006 when she was born - has reportedly introduced an imaginary ninth member to the family, who goes by the name of Amy.
A source tells celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, "Shiloh says she likes Amy more than Knox and Viv" and at dinner time Shiloh will refuse dinner, claiming that "Amy's not hungry."

Paparazzi snapped Paris, Doug and his lovely mom Kelly getting lunch at Longhi's in Maui yesterday afternoon, and afterwards the trio grabbed some ice cream and enjoyed a stroll around the lux shops in Wailea.
The song has been fairly controversial for Spears, due to its alleged hidden meaning. Conservatives have called for the song to be banned, and some radio stations have refused to play it.
According to one group "This may sound Yogi Berra-ish, but Britney’s song is a double-entendre with only one meaning. There is no misinterpreting the lyrics to this song; and it’s certainly not about a girl named Amy."

A brave Angelina Jolie was spotted perched outside the window ledge of a building, 10 stories high!
It's not everyday people in New York can look up and see Ms Jolie dangling by a string, but the actress was filming a scene for new movie Salt.
Barefoot with a bloody knee and a blonde wig, the Tomb Raider star got into action mode as camera crew filmed her hanging onto the building in the middle of a chase scene.
Luckily, the actress was supported by a rope and had a stunt crew nearby to help her in and out of the building's window.

On-again, off-again couple John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston are apparently off for good.
"They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other," a source told People magazine, which reported an end to the high-profile relationship - for the second time - on its Web site yesterday.
Another source told the magazine that Mayer cooled off the romance after Aniston returned from Europe, where she'd been promoting "Marley & Me."
Reps for the duo declined to comment.
