Also in the episode, Eli works to figure out a connection between a younger woman, an artist, and an older man, an actuary into high-thrilling adventures, who attended some sort of group therapy together. He figures out both were dying but can't figure out why they had such a strong connection. Jim/Sam remembers his former occupation as a paramedic and Delia tries to comfort him as he gets a little sad because of it.

Carrie Underwood was named entertainer of the year at the 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards show Sunday in Las Vegas.
Underwood is the seventh female artist to win the award in the category's 39-year history, the academy noted. Previous winners include Loretta Lynn in 1975, Dolly Parton in 1977, Barbara Mandrell in 1980, Reba McEntire in 1994, Shania Twain in 1999 and the Dixie Chicks in 2000.
This was the second year that fans chose the winner of the prize and more than 500,000 fans cast ballots this year, the academy said.
Underwood also picked up the trophy for top female vocalist, while Brad Paisley took home the ACMs for top male vocalist, video of the year for "Waitin' on a Woman" and vocal event of the year for "Start a Band," his duet with Keith Urban.

Speaking to E! News, the 28-year-old hotel heiress said Doug "is going to be my husband". "We're best friends. It's not like we just met," she said.
"We've known each other over the past year. I was in a relationship before and we reconnected. I'm really in love and really happy.
"He's going to be my husband."
The couple denied claims they were already engaged, but in terms of the future, Doug said: "You never know."

Mickey Rourke made good on his promise to go head-to-head with wrestler Chris Jericho when he stepped into the ring to deliver a smackdown on Sunday (05Apr09).
The actor has been locked in a bitter and public war of words with Jericho since January (09), when he announced his plans to spar with the grappler at the WWE's Wrestlemania 25 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
Jericho then hit back, telling Rourke: "I don't have respect for you... Be careful what you wish for, Mr. Rourke."
But Rourke was subsequently forced to bow out of the bout, citing the revival of his acting career as his main priority.
He repeated this sentiment to reporters hours before the event on Sunday (05Apr09), explaining: "Contractually, because I’m doing this movie called Iron Man 2 now, I can’t get in the ring with (Jericho)."
Sitting in the audience, Rourke watched as Jericho defeated three other professional wrestlers, before taunting and challenging the actor to a showdown.
But Rourke then stunned fans as he stepped up to the ring to settle the feud with his nemesis once and for all.
Removing his cowboy hat, Rourke clambered over the guard ropes and landed a punch that left Jericho reeling.
He was then joined by wrestling legend Ric Flair to celebrate his victory.
Rourke won a string of awards for his performance as Randy 'The Ram' Robinson in The Wrestler, but he missed out on a first Best Actor Oscar when he was beaten by pal Sean Penn.

The supermodel and her American footballer husband held a second wedding ceremony in Costa Rica on Saturday.
Photographer Yuri Cortez was taking pictures of the wedding from afar using a long lens camera. He has filed a complaint with Costa Rican authorities claiming that the couple's bodyguards accosted him and demanded he give them is camera's memory card.
He says he refused and drove away and then the security began to shoot the car and the bullets went smashed his windows,
He said: "I put my foot on the accelerator and I heard the gunshot that shattered the rear window and broke the windshield. It very nearly hit me."
