Britney Spears' Twitter and MySpace accounts have apparently been hacked.
Messages on her Twitter profile Thursday purported to be from the 27-year-old pop star and claimed she worshipped the devil. The handful of unusual messages were deleted after Spears' management regained control of the account.
Her Twitter feed boasts more than 3.7 million followers and is updated by herself and her "team" of handlers. A message Thursday apologized for "any offense the hacker's messages caused."
Spears' MySpace account was taken over at about the same time.
Hacked messages have gone out from Spears' Twitter account before.
This time, Twitter users appeared to suspect something was up. The subject "donthackbritney" was one of the most popular topics on the site Thursday.

"It was so weird to see that long hair on me," Lautner said at the 'New Moon' press day, pointing to the very, very obvious fact that the long hair is a wig. "It was very itchy, hot, and annoying. It not only was uncomfortable," he adds, "But when I looked at myself in the mirror I wouldn't be able to recognize myself." Not only that, the long, black hair was messing with his Bella mojo.
And we all know Jacob needs all the help he can get with that well-groomed vampire, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) always lurking about.
"(The wig hair) would get caught in my mouth, and I would be spitting it out in this scene where I'm coming close to kissing Bella," says Lautner. "It was annoying."
Finishing with the wig was "freeing," Lautner adds. "The last day of filming with the wig, we ripped it off, put it up in the air, and the whole crew gave a standing ovation," Lautner recalls smiling. "It was amazing to take that thing off."

The 19-year-old Twilight actress looked stunning in a Balenciaga grey jersey organza embossed top and a leather and rayon skirt.
Kristen, who kept warm in a Burberry trench last night, told EW that it’s nice to have Taylor and Rob’s looks be obsessed over instead of hers!
“Seriously, it’s a trip to sit back and look at the sexual objectification of these dudes,” she said. “I’ve never been asked to do any of this stuff.”

Held at Caja Magica, the “In Good Company” actress posed for pictures and mingled with a guest list including Vanessa Romero, Eugenia Martinez de Irujo, Dree Hemingway and Ana Garcia Sineriz, among others.
The Mango outing comes as Miss Johansson readies for her turn on the Broadway stage in the Arthur Miller play “A View From the Bridge”.
Slated for a 14-week run, Scarlett’s duties will begin with previews starting on December 28, while the show will officially open on January 24.

According to a report, Lohan's "downward spiral" was sparked by the overdose death of Ledger last year. Lohan also reportedly attended Ledger's memorial in the US.
"She was dating Heath when he died," Mrs Lohan tells Lindsay's father Michael Lohan in the recording posted on gossip site RadarOnline.com that leaked the news.
"I don't know if you know that, but I know, cause I would drop her off and they were friends. Very, very close, okay?"
Mrs Lohan also claims in the 2008 audio tape that Lohan's relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson came out of Ledger's death. "That f----d her up," Mrs Lohan says. "And right after that is when Samantha was around."
The actresses mother also implied that she feared Lohan would follow in Ledger's footsteps and suffer some sort of accidental death caused by an overdose. "When she's drunk or takes an Adderall with it, she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking," she says on the tape.
