This decision follows on the heels of Pepsico/Gatorade's decision to decline renewing Woods’ sports drink contract — though Gatorade claimed the decision was made before Woods’ much publicized transgressions. None of us believe that though (good try, Pepsi).
A number of companies with smaller market footprints have also dropped Woods’ ads from prime time.
Gillette made its announcement as Woods announced his decision to take an indefinite hiatus from the world of golf to pursue his favorite pastime — bagging dumb blonds.
"As Tiger takes a break from the public eye, we will support his desire for privacy by limiting his role in our marketing programs," said Gillette, a division of Procter & Gamble.

Keira Knightley star has reportedly been visiting London’s Halcyon Gallery to be painted naked by artist Mitch Griffiths for a new exhibition.
A source said: “It’s considered a great honour to be painted by Mitch. He is a highly respected nude painter and is painting as number of subjects for a new exhibition next year. He is delighted Keira decided to take part.”
The 24-year-old actress – who is widely considered to be one of Hollywood’s most beautiful women – is currently starring in play ‘The Misanthrope’, which is running in London’s West End theatre district.
In the production, a modern-day version of Moliere's 17th Century comedy work, Keira plays a vacuous Hollywood starlet.

She also admits that she is ashamed of having such deep feelings for Chris even after such brutal attacks from the Run It singer.
Rihanna said to “Glamour”, “It’s embarrassing that I fell in love with that person. He was my first big love and the more in love we became, the more dangerous we became for one another.”
Rihanna was the victim of domestic violence during her relation with Chris Brown, during which he punched, bit and choked Rihanna in his car. She was left with bruises and cuts all over her body. Chris was found guilty and has apologized several times from the fans.

Stenake Johansson, chairman of the Residential Association on Faglaro island, told the Associated Press on Saturday that Elin Nordegren became the owner on Dec. 1.
"Elin Nordegren has bought it, but I don't know how much Tiger has signed on to those papers," said Johansson, adding that his organization is still awaiting all the paperwork.
Johansson could not confirm the house’s reported price of $2.2 million and said he didn’t know whether Nordegren and Woods planned to move in.
