Lady Gaga is to kick off a new comic book series focusing on the lives of pop culture icons.
American publisher Bluewater Productions announced the launch of the new series, to be called Fame.
The first issue, featuring the life story of the US singer, will be out in time for Free Comic Book Day on May 5.
Recently, pop culture artist Brian Einersen announced an entirely separate comic called Lady Saga, inspired by the pop diva and featuring fictional adventures in the world of fashion.

Lily Allen has said she wants to quit fame and move to the country and become a mum.
The 24-year-old star has been dating builder Sam Cooper, 27, since the summer and said she wants to start the new decade by leaving the city for the countryside.
According to UK newspaper The People, Lily said: 'I just want to have babies and live in the countryside, that's my goal really. I'm not a careerist. What I really want is to be a mum.
'I am driven, but that drive goes as far as keeping a roof over my head and having a routine. I have been in a relationship for six or seven months now and it's going really well, so why not.'

But today she finally unveils a sizzling new campaign for the eponymous scent developed with Lighthouse Beauty exclusively to PEOPLE. Dressed in retro lingerie and a marabou coat, Kim swings from a circle that mirrors the smoky bottle, in an image that plays up her signature sex appeal.
The scent itself mixes notes that were chosen to reflect aspects of her personality, with jasmine, tuberose and gardenia evoking her femininity and tonka bean and sandalwood suggesting an even softer side. For the time being, however, you can look — but not smell.
The scent, which will range in price from $16 for a .33-oz. rollerball to $65 for a 3.4-oz. spray, won’t launch until February, exclusively at Sephora.

The pair reveal their slimmed-down new looks in the promo for the QuickTrim program.
In the advert Kim asks: “Do you feel sexy?”

Kim insists: “You can change the way you look” and Khloe chips in: “You have the power to reinvent yourself.”
Kim urges viewers: “Create the body you deserve”, while Khloe promises: “No more excuses, just results.”
Kim ends the advert by looking into the camera and asking: “How hot can you be? QuickTrim – live the dream.”

Lindsay Lohan's fluctuating weight – which has dropped dramatically in recent months – has long been the subject of press speculation.
But on holiday in the Caribbean at the moment, it's Lindsay's sister Ali's slim figure that has come under the spotlight.

And 16-year-old Ali looked particularly skinny in a black two-piece ensemble.
The two sisters boarded the lavish boat after a spot of shoe shopping in some of St Barts' high-end designer stores.

Lindsay Lohan has reacted to the death of her friend Casey Johnson.
The heiress- who was the girlfriend of MTV star Tila Tequila- was found dead earlier this week after an apparent drug overdose.
Actress LiLo was photographed in tears after hearing the news whilst holidaying in the Caribbean.
A Tweet from the star later said: “Am so sick of those 3 letters, so tired of losing friends to something as senseless as a drug overdose. WAKE UP people.”
The cause of Casey’s death will not be officially released for six to eight weeks according to Los Angeles Police. However they have ruled out ‘foul play.’

Taking care of some promotional duties, Katharine McPhee made an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien” last night.
The “American Idol” alum looked lovely as she sang a selection from her brand new album titled Unbroken, sporting a cleavage-baring black top with black stretch pants and black heels.
And though she is definitely blessed to have a loyal fan base, it seems the critics aren’t too fond of Ms. McPhee’s latest effort.

On teenage angst: “I am angsty. I’ll be angsty until I’m 80 years old. I think that keeps things fresh. But I always think angst is such a derogatory word toward teenagers. It just means you’re figuring s*** out, and I don’t know why that’s a negative thing.”
On people taking her seriously: “I think people don’t really take me seriously because I’m 16. And they think most 16-year-olds don’t know what they want to do. But I actually really do, because I’ve been thinking about it since I was 2. And in the world of acting, you have such a stigma put onto you that you [get into this business] for the fame. Fame frankly means nothing. It’s so stupid. Unless you do something great and unless you do something that’s fulfilling to you, what’s the point?”
On not wanting to be the next tabloid star: “I love working. I’m a workaholic, and no one believes it. I’m in the recording studio until three in the morning. I get such a rap for being like Lindsay Lohan - and I hate naming names because she’s really sweet - and I’m really not. I don’t go out. I have no desire to be some tabloid party girl. I’m entirely a loner. I have been my entire life.”
