A host of Hollywood's hottest young actresses appear on the cover of the March issue of Vanity Fair, the magazine's annual Hollywood issue.
They are, left to right: Abbie Cornish, Kristen Stewart , Carey Mulligan , Amanda Seyfried , Rebecca Hall , Mia Wasikowska , Emma Stone , Evan Rachel Wood and Anna Kendrick . The nine rising stars are photographed (by celeb shooter Annie Leibovitz , natch) in the grass, much like the stars who adorned the cover of the 2000 edition of the Hollywood Issue. But since that cover included such duds as Sarah Wynter , Wes Bentley and several stars whose resume highlight involves the words "Fast" and "Furious," let's hope the Class of 2010 fares better.

The 30-year-old singer sported Alexander McQueen ‘Armadillo” shoes.
Kelis paired her killer heels with a long braided hair extension, facial jewelry and a pink bodysuit.
Britney Spears showed the world her romance with Jason Trawick is very much back in business after arriving hand-in-hand with her agent at Sunday's Grammy Awards.
The "Toxic" singer reportedly ended her relationship with the music manager in August, only to reunite with him just weeks later.
Internet gossips claimed the pair recently parted ways once again and returned to a purely professional working partnership.
But Spears was obviously keen to set the record straight on Sunday, when she arrived on Trawick's arm and walked the Grammys red carpet for the first time in eight years.
Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor were made Chevalier Des Arts Et Des Lettres by the Minister Culture Frederic Mitterrand at the Ministry of Culture in Paris, France today (February 1).
“I love you Jim Carrey! I love you Ewan McGregor!” Mr. Mitterrand proclaimed in reference to I Love You Phillip Morris, the film produced by Luc Besson and in which they play the vicissitudes of a couple of men who fall in love in prison.
“I am especially proud that I am both an American and Canadian citizen, my roots are French,” said Jim during his thank-you speech, recalling that his family had left St. Malo 200 years ago for Canada.
For his part, Ewan said: “Receiving this distinction in France, the land of my summer holidays when I was a kid, where I met my wife (Eve Mavrakis) and the region of Franche-Comte, fills my heart with joy.”
The pair were so overcome with the honor that they instantly broke into a French kiss before addressing the press.

Elton John and Lady GaGa proved they're the weirdest stars in showbiz last night by smearing themselves in dirt for their duet at the Grammys.
The bonkers Poker Face star tottered on stage in 6ins stilettos and crystalstudded leotard.
The odd couple then sang GaGa's new single Speechless as well as Elton's classic Your Song sitting at opposite ends of a bizzare piano that sprouted arms.
GaGa - who scooped two gongs at the ceremony in LA - raved afterwards: "I'd fantasised about this for a while and we got to do it... I'm really just floored."

Also in the house celebrating the singer’s special day was ex-boyfriend Drake LaBry, along with “American Idol” creator Simon Fuller and the lovely Alessandra Torresani.

Lindsay Lohan is about to make her grand re-entrance into the film industry by going topless in the upcoming film, Machete. The film, directed by Robert Rodriguez and Ethan Maniquis, is set to be released in April 2010. This will be Lindsay's first big role in a major motion picture since I Know Who Killed Me.
In Machete, Lindsay will play the role of April Benz, a socialite who has a thing for guns. Playing the part of a wealthy socialite is nothing new for Lohan. What will be new for the young actress is the topless scene she will film with her onscreen mom, played by 34-year-old Alicia Rachel Marek. The scene takes place in a waterfall and lasts about 10 minutes.
Starring in the much anticipated film, Robert De Niro and Jessica Alba bring star power to attract a big crowd. The movie features renegade Mexican Federales, corrupt Senators, and drug lords. This action packed film could just be the ticket Lindsay Lohan has needed to get back into the acting spotlight.
