Russell Brand's kiss with Katy Perry has been dropped from his new movie.
The British funnyman - who reprises his 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' role of rocker Aldous Snow in 'Get Him To The Greek' - locked lips with his real-life fiancee, who has a cameo in the forthcoming movie, but test audiences were bemused to find the scene had been removed and replaced by a smooch with fellow pop star Christina Aguilera instead.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "There has been a few early screenings over in the States and Katy wasn't in it.
"Everyone had been waiting for the big kiss scene, but it wasn't there. It's the moment the big romance started. And now they are getting married - it's like a fairytale unravelling in front of our eyes. The scene has got to get back in there."
Katy - who started dating Russell in September, four months before they got engaged - recently admitted she was attracted to Russell as soon as they worked together on the film.
She said: "When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him.
"My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I'm happy - I get a bit childlike."
'Get Him To The Greek' - which also sees cameos from Pink and Tom Felton - is released in the US on June 4.

The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star will headline her own show, Twist of Kate, on TLC, the network announced Thursday.
Set to bow in the summer, the 12-episode series will feature Gosselin responding to fan letters from those who are inspired by her story as a way to profile the personal challenges her fans face. Gosselin will travel the country to meet her fans' families and to try their jobs, according to the network news release.
"I look at it as a loose concept," Gosselin told USA Today. "I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don't consider myself an expert on anything."

Cage owned two adjacent properties in the hills of Malibu ... hundreds of acres total. We've learned Cage lost the Malibu properties to the bank Wednesday. They went on the auction block for a minimum bid of $10 million, but there were no takers. The bank now owns both properties outright and will try to unload them through a real estate broker.
Cage owed a total of $8,878,886.82 on the Malibu properties.
As we already reported, Cage lost his Bel Air home Wednesday as well. The minimum bid at the auction was just over $11 million, but there were no takers there either. Cage owed more than $17 mil on the Bel Air property.
