Mr. Giraldo had been hospitalized since Saturday night after he was found unconscious in a hotel room in New Brunswick, where he was scheduled to perform at a club. Mr. Giraldo had suffered a drug overdose, The Home News Tribune of East Brunswick, N.J., reported, citing New Brunswick police. The precise cause of death on Wednesday was unclear. A hospital spokesman said the family declined to release that information.

The TV stars fell in love when they started shooting the hit comedy and managed to keep the romance under wraps by never going out in public together.
She says, "We dated for almost two years... It was a wonderful relationship but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together."

‘These days I have one glass of wine and I’m completely gone.’ Schucks! ‘I’ve never been a “Let’s go out and have a cosmopolitan” kind of girl. I don’t even think I’ve ever tasted a cosmopolitan before. I much prefer a glass of wine and a bath at home at night to relax.’

My school was bit like Gossip Girl in that there was a lot of money and we didn’t have as much.’
I was different to those people and I didn’t like the things that they liked. I would go to parties and the best part of going would be the leaving. I would go to a party because I felt that’s what I should be doing. I’m such a loser!’

‘My acting teacher and music teachers didn’t really like me and they kind of ignored me. I think that they were threatened by the fact that I had worked before. Maybe it made them uncomfortable. I would have loved for them to have taught me but maybe they felt like they couldn’t. They just ignored me and didn’t really pay attention to me.’
How did that make you feel?
‘Like they were stupid, that it was pretty silly of them. I’m on a show called Glee right now and I could sing their praises, but unfortunately I don’t have anything to say.’

We knew it was a great, great pilot, but there hasn’t been a successful TV show that has music in it for, like, ever,’ she gushes. ‘Ally McBeal did it kind of; Fame. But for years it hasn’t been done.’ Then adds: ‘What I love about our show is that it opens your eyes to a lot of things without being preachy.’
I feel very equal to my cast and I feel like I couldn’t do what I do without them’ – but, as someone on the Marie Claire shoot pointed out, if Glee is the new Friends then Lea Michele is the new Jennifer Aniston.
‘Glee has made me feel beautiful,’ says Michele, to underline the point. ‘Now when people say that I don’t feel like they’re lying. Glee has shown me that I am beautiful, that I can be beautiful no matter what I look like, what my weight is.’ It seems churlish at this stage to mention the steamed cabbage diet and the fact she has lost a few pounds recently. ‘I grew up in a community where what I looked like wasn’t considered beautiful and then I work on this show that proves it doesn’t matter what you look like, that you’re beautiful and that beauty is on the inside and… so, yeah, I’m thankful.’

Don’t you get annoyed when the writers poke fun at the size of your nose, then? ‘I see that happening on other shows and you’ve got to laugh,’ she answers earnestly, then adds, ‘but when they always talk about my boobs being too small I’m like, OK, if we’re going to talk about this then let’s be real! Rachel does not have the smallest boobs in the club, although that wouldn’t be a problem if she did, but they keep saying that she does, and I’m like, “It’s not true!”. I mean, they’re not big, but they always talk about how small they are. But they always say I have a great butt, which I really do like.’

‘What about your tattoos? She has nine, each chronicling a significant milestone in her life. The first was a butterfly, on her back, at 16. There’s one for Spring Awakening, another, Imagine, after the John Lennon song, a gold star for Rachel Berry. Still, she’s quick to remind me: ‘I don’t have like a kiss on my butt or anything! They’re all tiny. I mean, you saw me in the shoot today, I was practically nude. Did you see any? No. I’m telling you, I have nine. All so, so, so little.’
So what’s the next tattoo? ‘I’ve been thinking about it for a while and my poor boyfriend… I’m always like, “What shall I do next?” And he’s like, “I don’t know!’’’
She shares the butterfly tattoo with her mum. ‘I think I tricked her into thinking it was a bonding thing, which it was, but she says it was the worst trick of her life. But my mum is the best because I can sit and talk to her about what tattoo to have next.’ So this is your vice, I say.
‘Yes! There you go – thank you! I’m also an avid coffee drinker and an obsessive talker.’
