"Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever", the singer told People in a statement on Tuesday, October 12. The couple who wed n November 19, 2005, are parents to 2-year-old son Max Liron Bratman.
"Yes they are separated. Right now they're just trying to figure things out. There are no divorce proceedings at this point", one source broke the news before the singer's statement. "They were very much in love. But over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife", another source told UsMagazine.com.
It looks like this summer, Christina tried to "rekindle their relationship", by proposing an "August trip to Italy" "but it didn't help". Aguilera and Bratman are said have been living apart "for a few months" and "they will see how that goes".

She worked ever-so-hard on the film, and now the trailer for “Burlesque” starring Christina Aguilera has been released!
The story revolves around a woman named Ali (played by Aguilera), a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an unknown future to follow her dreams of moving to L.A.
The story progresses as Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress but, eventually because of her incredible vocals, scores a gig on stage at the Burlesque Lounge.
Christina Aguilera covers the October 2010 issue of the UK’s Cosmopolitan magazine.
On Confidence is sexy:
”Confidence, ambition, drive…Those are all sexy qualities to me. Oh, and creativity, quirkiness, independence, someone who isn’t intimidated by success per se, and someone who has dreams of their own. Turn-offs are conservativeness, closed-mindedness – and preppy guys, [Laughs] They’re just not my style.”
Romance is the smaller things:
”It’s important to be open to growing together and when the going gets tough, you have to see how you can make your relationship more special and how you can spend more quality time together. Everyone has rough patches, everybody grows and we all change. It’s important to give each other room to grow, and to accept them for who they are.”
No one needs a bad boy:
”If I could go back and tell my 16-year-old self anything about men, it’d be this: ‘You don’t need bad boys. They’re irrelevant to the big picture.”

Platinum blonde hair and red lips have become her trademark, so it's little wonder Christina Aguilera almost went unrecognised as she stepped out in Los Angeles yesterday.
The 29-year-old Grammy award-winning singer looked nothing like her usual bombshell self as she emerged wearing stringy ginger extensions.
She hid beneath a knitted cap and dark sunglasses, and finished the low-key look off with faded grey jeans, red flip flops and a T-shirt.

Christina Aguilera sang the National Anthem at last night’s NBA Finals game.
The “Ain’t No Other Man” songstress looked intense as she strolled out onto the court at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and belted out the patriotic tune.
“I feel sexuality to be very empowering. I think men love to believe that they own our sexuality, so if a woman represents herself in a sexual way, people think, ‘Oh it must be for a man.’ If I want to be sexual, it’s for my own appreciation and enjoyment! That’s why I like to talk about the fact that sometimes I am attracted to women. I appreciate their femininity and beauty.”

Christina Aguilera is woman, hear her roar. She calls her new album 'Bionic' for its often futuristic sound, but also because she feels women today have to be almost superhuman to get everything done.
"I always am in support of strong women and trying to encourage them to not be ashamed of anything to do with their sexuality or labels and all that crap that has been put upon us for centuries now," 'Bionic' taps into all women in a sense that we are all mothers, we give birth, we do things that are not even remotely expected from a man, and we get labels that aren't given to men for doing the same exact thing."

Christina Aguilera stopped by 30 Rockefeller Center this morning for the Today show’s latest live summer concert. After her performance at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday failed to generate much buzz, this was another opportunity to get fans excited about her new album, Bionic, which arrived in stores today. So how did she do?
Before performing, Aguilera chatted briefly with NBC’s Matt Lauer. Turns out their respective kids have very different tastes in music: Her son likes cutting-edge electro, his is more of a Sesame Street guy. Then it was on to the stage. Aguilera opened with an abbreviated take on Bionic‘s title track, followed by current single “Not Myself Tonight.”
