Author and former music reporter Nick Strauss writes in his new book that the Hole singer tried to get him to inhale Cobain's cremated remains with her, RadarOnline.com reports.
"She was serious when she made the suggestion," Strauss said, according to the gossip site. "She actually said she would offer his ashes to me first to snort and then said she would like them."
The only thing that stopped her, Strauss claims, was the fact that he didn't use cocaine.

has stunned her fans once again by posting a series of semi-naked photos on Twitter.
The Hole front woman quit the microblogging site last month after accidentally publishing a nude photo of herself which was intended for a boyfriend, reported Daily Mail online.
The 46-year-old musician has now made a comeback to the website and shocked her followers over the weekend by uploading more explicit shots.
The new images show her flashing her derriere and kissing a female friend.

Rocker Courtney Love is back on Twitter.com after accidentally publishing a nearly-nude photo of herself on the website.
The Hole frontwoman logged on to social networking site Twitter last week and shocked thousands of followers by posting a link to a topless picture of herself writhing in a chair.
The embarrassed star reached out to her fans on Tuesday, admitting the steamy image was meant to be private - and the incident has prompted her to close down her profile.
Posting her final tweet from @CourtneyLoveUK, she wrote, "I'm off twitter, that photo was meant for a boy friend."
Love did not mention the name of the beau the saucy snap was intended for.
The rocker vowed to quit the site on two separate occasions in October 2009, only to return shortly afterwards.

The singer has previously claimed that she had an affair with a famous female model. She has now outed Moss as that model, saying: "It was Kate Moss. She doesn't care. She talks about it and so I hope she doesn't get mad that I outed her about it." She added: "It's a great story for the grandchildren, so yeah… Kate wasn't doing a lot of drugs, it was just a thing that happened in Milan in the '90s"

Courtney - the widow of Nirvana star Kurt Cobain - told US Radio DJ Howard Stern: "We had a really good time. I even had visions of marrying Gavin Rossdale one time.
"Everyone gave me so much s**t because Gavin sounded like a lot like Kurt. But man, he was such an Adonis in his day! He got good in bed... something happened. Maybe Gwen taught him, for all I know."
Courtney claims Gwen was aware of the affair.
She said: "Yes. She does know."
When Stern then asked: "You mean he was having sex with you while he was with her?"
To which Courtney replied: "Everyone... yeah... and a few other people. We didn't have a lot of pressure on each other, but we did like each other quite a bit."

The Hole rocker is said to have accidentally made her personal phone number public by including it in a Facebook.com message to Jason Weinberg, founder of talent agency Untitled Entertainment, according to the New York Post.
Love, who has been attending the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin, Texas, is said to have written, "I'm in Austin and I'm the queen of it (Google me). Call me. I hope to God you're in NYC tomorrow (posts her number). Love you and see you on set."

The Hole rocker posted images of herself semi-naked on the website as she got a series of coloured flowers inked on her arm and on her breast.
She also revealed some of her apparently in a great deal of pain as she went under the tattooist's gun.
