George Clooney has criticised Paris Hilton, saying her financial success doesn't make her a good actress.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Clooney said: "There is a funny thing that happens when you are a young actor. You equate financial success and getting jobs with whether or not you are good at it.
"And it still happens. That's why there is Paris Hilton. Now I'm in trouble with Paris Hilton."

George Clooney has spoken about his reading postings about himself on the Internet, describing some of the comments as "brutal".
According to the Daily Express, Clooney said: "A few years ago I went to check out this website that someone had talked about."
"There's like, a thousand people sitting in dark rooms thrashing you. Brutal. You're like: "Wow, dude"."
"You see way too many angry people. I remember thinking: "Never ever again". I'd rather live in my own happy world where I think everyone is nice," he said.

George Clooney has not been asked to be the godfather of Nicole Kidman's unborn baby, his representative has said.
It was reported that the actress was planning to have her baby baptised in a Catholic church and felt her Hollywood friend would be an "ideal" godfather.
But Stan Rosenfield denied that Kidman had made the request, saying: "They are friends, but George was not asked to be the godfather."

Nicole Kidman has reportedly asked her pal George Clooney to be the godfather of her first child with husband Keith Urban.
The actress is due to give birth in June and has already decided that she wants Clooney to be the child’s godfather. The actor has reportedly agreed.
“Nicole asked George to be her baby’s godfather, and he has agreed,” says a source.
After Kidman announced her pregnancy, Clooney said she would be a “perfect mother.”
Kidman and Clooney became friends on the set of 1997 movie The Peacemaker.

Clooney, the ninth U.N. peace envoy, was scheduled to address a meeting of troop-contributing nations about conditions faced by the peacekeeping force in Sudan's troubled western region.
The actor recently visited Darfur with U.N. peacekeeping officials and said he saw that a lack of helicopters and other equipment was hindering the force's efforts to protect civilians and itself.

As many as 40 doctors and other employees at the Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, N.J., got suspensions for allegedly leaking confidential medical information about the couple in violation of federal law, according to broadcast and Internet reports.
Told about the fallout firings, Clooney went to bat for the workers:

Actor-director George Clooney was surrounded by some of the biggest names in Hollywood as he was presented with the 2006 American Cinematheque Award in Beverly Hills.
Stars including director Oliver Stone and actors Julia Roberts, Christian Slater, Salma Hayek, Geoffrey Rush and Lindsay Lohan, attended the event as he collected the award that celebrates his career.
Clooney's award marked an acting career which has seen him star in hits including 'Ocean's Eleven', 'The Perfect Storm', and 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?'

US Weekly reported that Lindsay has a -- “Crush on Clooney.” They said, Lindsay “tried to play it cool” when she saw Clooney at Bungalow 8 last week. Apparently, George was just being nice while the two chatted it up for about a half hour. US Weekly wrote: “Lindsay was trying to be charming to win him over and definitely wanted to hook up, but George wouldn’t go there. He knows better.” At the end of the evening the two left separately - and Clooney was spotted on a date with (Krista) Allen two days later in NYC. Looks like George has limitations and standards.
Clooney is so handsome for his age but uhh Lindsay is way too immature!
