Kirstie Alley's Dancing with the Stars fan club includes a man who knows a thing or two about dancing – Grease and Saturday Night Fever star John Travolta.

"He's really excited," Alley told PEOPLE Monday of her pal. "I think he will come to the show and watch at some point. I hope. I'll beg."

The actress, who wowed the judges with an impressive cha cha Monday night, said Travolta offered her some pointers.

"His main thing was just have fun," Alley said.

That's good advice but rehearsing for a pressure-filled performance isn't always a joy.

"We always fight," Alley said of the times she's danced in movies with Travolta, adding that it's a similar circumstance with her DWTS pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. "But he's a great guy ... John just dances naturally ... John just makes it look easy."

"He's given the house a renewed spirit and purpose," Travolta said.

At age 48, Preston gave birth to the baby, named Benjamin, this past November.

The baby, named Benjamin, was born at a hospital in Florida on Tuesday evening weighing more than 8 pounds, according to a statement from Travolta's publicist.

"John, Kelly and their daughter Ella Bleu are ecstatic and very happy about the newest member of the family. Both mother and baby are healthy and doing beautifully," the statement said.

John Travolta dropped the charges against accused extortionists Tarino Lightbourne and Pleasant Bridgewater, who were arrested for allegedly attempting to extort $25 million from John and his wife, Kelly Preston, regarding information about the January 2009 death of their son, Jett.

The Counsel of the Attorney General announced, "Mr. Travolta is no longer interested in pursuing the matter because it has caused his family great emotional distress." If he chose to pursue the charges, Travolta would have to testify in court regarding the details of his son’s untimely death from a seizure.

His wife is only weeks away from giving birth to a son.

John Travolta revealed for the first time Wednesday that his son Jett was autistic.

The revelation came during dramatic testimony in a extortion trial that detailed his son's final moments. Travolta was testifying at Nassau Supreme Court against two men who are charged with trying to extort $25 million from the actor.

The defendants -- an ambulance driver and a former Bahamas senator — allegedly demanded the cash and threatened to reveal details about Jett's death.

Travolta testified that he had desperately tried to save his 16-year-old son's life, performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation while a nanny performed CPR.

Travolta described how he and his wife Kelly Preston were awakened by the nanny at 10:15 a.m. on Jan. 2 after Jett collapsed in a bathroom.

"I ran downstairs with my wife to help my son," Travolta told the jury.

Travolta said Jett was autistic and suffered seizures every five to 10 days. "He was autistic. He suffered from a seizure disorder." Jett would typically sleep for 12 hours after a seizure, the actor said.

John Travolta's faith in Scientology remains firm.

A July 25 report in Britain's Daily Mail newspaper claiming that Travolta had grown disenchanted with his longtime religion in the wake of his son Jett's death in January is "totally false," his rep Paul Bloch tells PEOPLE.

"There's no change in the relationship between the Church of Scientology and John," says Bloch. "He is a member and it's as it was, now and forever."

Jett Travolta's body showed no sign of head trauma despite a police statement that he hit his head on a bathtub, and the death certificate says he was killed by a seizure, an undertaker said Monday.

The 16-year-old son of actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston had a history of seizures and was found unconscious in a bathroom Friday at a family vacation home on Grand Bahama Island.

Authorities didn't release the results of an autopsy performed Monday, but Glen Campbell, assistant director of the Bahamian funeral home handling the remains, saw the body and the death certificate based on the autopsy findings.

"The only cause of death that was listed was 'seizure,' " he said.

Above is John Travolta on the set of his new movie, From Paris with Love. The film, co-written by Luc Besson and Adi Hasak, stars Travolta as an American spy, while Jonathan Rhys Meyers co-stars as an embassy employee.

Travolta doesn't look too bad with a bald noggin, and now I've got visions of the actor teaming up with Bruce Willis for a baldie buddy cop film.
