Kelly Clarkson has made enough of a career for herself - her last album sold 11m worldwide - that she no longer needs the prefix "American Idol winner". This has given her the authority to dictate the shape of her third album, and she has opted for rock. That's not rock as in "ROCK", obviously, but the wipe-clean kind that begs your pardon for making noise.
Paradoxically, Clarkson has been hailing the "intimacy" of the self-composed songs, which were written during an introspective period that followed her winning no fewer than 21 music awards in 2005/06. She writes in bland generalities, though, rarely equalling the directness of the opening Never Again ("I hope the ring you gave her turns her finger green/I hope when you're in bed with her you think of me"), and uses her opulent voice as a battering ram. The spooky ballroom-waltz of Irvine just about saves things, and hints at what could have been.

Just two days after parting ways with her manager, Kelly Clarkson has canceled her upcoming summer tour over disappointing ticket sales, yet another sign of turmoil as she prepares to release her third album, "My December."
In a statement on her Web site, Clarkson said:
"I can't tell you how much I've been looking forward to getting out there to perform for y'all. In the craziness of the music business, performing is what I look forward to doing the most, so it really is disappointing for me to have to tell you that I won't be coming out to tour this summer. The fact is that touring is just too much too soon.
But I promise you that we're going to get back out there as soon as is humanly possible to give you a show that will be even better.
Thanks for all of your love and continued support."

The 'American Idol' winner saw Britney's picture on someone’s computer and leapt off the stage during a press conference to get a better look at Britney's baldness.

Kelly Clarkson created a tamtrum when she found out someone else custom-made a car just like her hot pink Mustang! The other person - porn star Alana Evans. Kelly sold her dream car after learning about the terrible coincidence. Kelly and Alana both customized the hot pink Mustang by Galpin Auto Sports in Van Nuys, Calif.

Friday night, the first show of her "Addicted" tour at Sound Advice Amphitheater, in her first incarnation as the inaugural American Idol, Kelly Clarkson was America's sweetheart, a beautifully down-to-earth talent with grateful eyes and a booming voice to match. Kelly 2.0 was slightly glammed-up, blonder and sleeker but still accessibly spunky.
I don't like the way she's dressed!!! Why she's wearing that... Why God? Why?! A barely there crocheted top with a silky padded bra? She looks like hot shit. And showing off a stomach that size and oozing out of that tight belt. She just looks FAT.
