One of Hollywood's most famous couples is calling it quits after seven years of marriage. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony announced the end of their marriage Friday evening via a statement they sent out in wide release, and which Lopez linked to from her Twitter account.
"We have decided to end our marriage," the statement reads.
"This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."
The couple are parents to 3-year-olds twins, Max and Emme.

Others say the flashpoints for the couple include women calling the couple's home to speak to Anthony and his comments that her body after twins is "chubby." Ouch.

Although the couple are yet to comment personally over the claims, Marc’s publicist has issued a statement insisting the pair are “fine.”

More than four years after saying "I do," Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony secretly renewed their vows in Las Vegas early yesterday, according to People.com.
The renewal ceremony comes after the couple spent the previous evening club-hopping in Las Vegas and taking in a show. Most in the city believed the couple was in the city to celebrate Anthony's birthday from last month.
"[Marc] said they were in town for his birthday and they wanted to celebrate," said a source who talked to the couple.
On Friday, the couple headed to LAX Nightclub and The Bank after checking out Criss Angel's new Cirque Du Soleil show "Believe" -- all under the guise the couple was in town celebrating Anthony's birthday.

Jennifer Lopez didn't make too much of a fuss on her 39th birthday -- instead, the pop diva opted for a low-key evening -- and a Broadway show -- with her husband, Marc Anthony.
"We had such a blast last night," Anthony, 39, told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show Friday. "It's almost like every day is her birthday ... so last night we just wanted it to be quiet and, you know, have a nice quiet evening together.
"We sneaked in and got to sit in the audience and see other people be nervous," he said.
