Solange Knowles quit her job as spokesmodel for her sister Beyonce's Dereon fashion range because she couldn't envision herself wearing the clothes away from the runway.
The singer signed up to front Dereon, the junior apparel collection and sister line to Beyonce's House of Dereon range, which she launched with their stylist mum Tina Knowles in 2006.
Solange subsequently chose to step down from the role because the style of the Dereon line was completely different from her own.
She says, "I initially was involved as the spokesperson, but the clothes just didn't reflect my personal style and I decided to hand that over."
But Solange insists there was no fall out with her superstar sister over her decision - and the 24 year old now has her sights set on modelling for Beyonce and Tina's new beddingcollection.
She adds, "That's the great thing about my family. We work together so closely that if something's not working out, we can be honest about it and there won't be any grudges or issues...
"I will say though, they did just do a bedding line that I am extremely in love with and I was like, 'Can I model that... in my house?'"

Beyonce's sister, Solange, accidentally had her left nipple show in a photo taken at the Toni Maticevski fashion show.
The picture of the accidental nip slip moment has made its round all over the web. And lamenting the incident, the 22-year-old singer writes, "I always wear undies, never been carried out of the club drunk, I won't even pose for King (men's magazine) or any 'eye candy' type shoots and now look... My s**t on display for all the world to see..."

Beyonce and Solange Knowles teamed up for promoting their Samantha Thavasa handbag range in Tokyo, Japan.
The Knowles clan were spotted at the trendy Eight Million fashion shop in the Ginza district as they posed for the paparazzi.
Beyonce and Solange are reportedly on a wistle-stop 72-hour tour of Japan.
Solange Knowles has offered teen mum-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears words of support - insisting she has to ignore negative comments and concentrate on becoming a good mother.
Knowles states she knows the challenge of being a famous young mum after she gave birth to her son Daniel in 2004 at the age of 18-years-old.
And she tells Britney Spears' pregnant younger sibling to be strong, urging her to focus on her unborn tot and not the criticism she faces for having a child so young.
She tells U.S. website People.com, "I'm sure a lot of people perceived that I was gonna be a young, irresponsible mom. I think that there are some moms who are 35 who are just as irresponsible."
"You just have to make the best decisions for you. You have to decide what's best for you. Who are we to say what's right and wrong for a person?"
